I hate it say it again but I'm floored by how shafted Cao Cao's forces get in this game, none of his battles involve his forces having good showings, and he has the least amount of them too. He's also the only faction where you don't get to fight alongside all of his playable generals before the choice decision, I swear if this game was the only game you've played in the series you'd have absolutely zero reason to ever pick him first its surreal. Like that battle in this video was painful to watch and it's not that you did anything wrong, I'm just floored at how we can go from "here's a stage where Liu Bei heroically takes on entire yellow turiban officers and he barely needs your help to do it" vs "Here's Cao Cao's entire army struggling to defeat starving peasants"

I'm interested to see what the Japanese and Chinese dialogue actually says in regards to all this weird thirst for the Protagonist from everyone. I read someone say that in actuality, they are expressing fond admiration of them as a warrior and companion but the English translation made them sound way over the top and wanting to get in their pants.

Wouldn't surprise me, especially as men's relationships in many historical time periods could often be far more intense and emotional than what is often seen as socially acceptable for straight guys in our times (think of all the gay jokes about Frodo and Sam after the Lotr films came out)

Basically you can think of it as you being the youngest cousin in the clan and the oldest cousin married and had kids before you were even born. The kid is older than you, but you're the uncle.

I think his name is among the easier ones for us westerners to pronounce, and one of the more memorable ones too. I must admit I still get Yu Jin, Yue Jin, Xu Yu and Xu You all mixed up in my head pretty often. Loving the game and your playthrough! I'm just a few missions ahead of your published videos, so it's nice to come here and hear your comments soon after playing through them myself.

Lu Bu continues the tradition of wanting to make sweet, sweet love to our Mary Sue protagonist. Though our boy Taishi Ci is coming in clutch with an actual normal conversation that isn't creepy. I don't mind some of the men having a crush on the player character, but way too many are too sexually aggressive. Looks like Cao Cao's strategists might actually be interested I women. A rarity in this time period according to this game. Yu Jin seems quite professional, I won't judge him until further conversations.

I saw that when you hit 5000 kills, you didn't seem to get any more points per 100 kills as you capped at 199, although you did get a single point from what I saw when you destroyed the grand tactic, not sure where the 3 that got you up to 203 came from though.
