You definitely need to take into account the new "Rules" for NCAA Wrestling in 2024. Huge changes!!! 3 point takedowns, 2,3,4 back points, no riding time points, this will change the landscape of collegiate wrestling in a big way!

@@FancoWrestling i have been a fanatic/maniac fan of wrestling since 2001. I went to the state finals in indiana for my first exp. I am addicted to the greatest sport of all time. I played baseball at Indiana University. All that being said; the 2 best "A" games of any wrestler on the planet (that i have seen since 2001) are Saduleuv and Gable. Neither have aby competition in the world. in fact a match between those 2 for 200 grand should happen. make it a catch weight of no more than a 15 pound diff.

David car to Penn state? That ain’t happening. He’s all about Iowa State, he’s done it before at Iowa State. Pretty sure he can do it again. Even recently with the new Iowa state commits, his comments are fairly recent saying “go cyclones” or “let’s run it”. I just think he’s all about being a cyclone and is loyal enough to stay.

Interested to see if/where Bernie Truax and David Carr transfer. Alos wondering how Iowa reloads and Penn State progressess last year despite losing RBY/MAx Dean. Also Starocci is gonna be interesting. I do expect him to redshirt, would love to see him return or perhaps David Carr transfers to fill that void.I also wanna see what wrestlers take the next step next year, whether that means finally winning national titles or guys just becoming All-Americans/ reaching the podium. Also, curious to see how AJ Ferrari lookscoming back from his off the mat issues. Looking forward to next year.

Bernie Traux already transferred to Penn State, so that solves the vacancy that Max Dean left. At 133 I wouldn’t be surprised if they landed Nagao, or honestly even Chris Cannon from Northwestern. It will be interesting to see if Griffith transfers to Penn State and replaces Facundo.

Truax is supposedly going 184….brooks to 197

Last 3 years Bernie finished 4th at 174, 4th at 184, and 4th at 197 (beating Beard and Dean in succession). Word is he was in the 190-192 range, so the suspicion is Brooks goes up to 197, Truax down to 184. We'll have to wait to see!

The First Round and Quarterfinals were awesome to watch and listen to. Yes listen to because we didn’t have to deal with DC and his stories. I mean seriously the guys stories had stories and those stories had side stories. He didn’t call 99% of any match, it was unbearable. I had to mute it because it was that horrible. ESPN, please just give us Sean, Jim Gibbons and Rock Harrison. Or Jim, Tim Johnson and Rock Harrison with Shane on the floor, but no more Daniel Cormier and his not calling matches, talking over everyone else and those STORIES!!! Please🙏

You should do a show about the new rules changes in NCA Wrestling. I like the changes. 3 pt takedown and no rising time point unless you get near fall points. Near fall points change as well. No more Will Lewan stalls waiting on a Rideout point.

The rules changes are going to impact who wins. 3 pt takedown favors Levi Haines with that lightning fast high crotch. Kerk needs some heart. He seems to give up but with the riding time point change he may not get ridden and gassed. How does that same rule change impact Starocci who likes to sit on that leg and ride a ton? The near fall change is going to effect Woods with his tilts. I'm excited to see how it unfolds. Hopefully rhe rules committee doesn't change a ton. Hopefully they just tell refs 3 unanswered shots is a stall. Another immediate one is a point with the wrestler getting the point having choice of up, down or nuetral for a shot at an escape point. We need the defensive wrestlers weeded out. Sick 9f the Will Lewans of the world playing Offensive lineman!

@@brandonhess9981 I actually agree that if Brooks wrestles 197 he will win it, but that's an "if." My prediction is twofold: If Brooks goes up he takes 1st Buchannan 2nd. If he doesn't, Buchanan will be in the title contention. TBH it's hard for me to go all-in on him without seeing him for well over a year but I he's my "too-early" prediction. Also, Sanderson said Truax will likely slot the lineup at 197.

I don't see Carter redshirting. Not with the opportunity to go for 4 now. He's dominating the weight class. And the guys they have in that room, he could train freestyle 80% of the time and probably win the title again. AS a PSU fan, I would LOVE to see David Carr join the Nittany Lions. I also think this decision could depend on what Starocci and Brooks do. I expect Starocci to take the Olympic redshirt, then join UFC. IF this happens and Brooks doesn't redshirt (or even if he does), definitely think Carr would come in and take the spot, either at 165 or 174 with Alex Facundo taking whichever spot Starocci doesn't. Though I doubt it would happen, there's a RARE scenario where Carr joins Penn State, takes over 165, Facundo redshirts and Starocci/Brooks retain their spots at 174/184 respectively.
