Just a tip. I recently, based on this video, purchased and installed a Synergy steering relocation kit just like you have. My tip is that if you are still running the factory tie rod you will need to mount the steering stabilizer the opposite way that you did in this video. If you do it the way you have it, with the can side mounted on the track bar stud, the stabilizer body will contact the tie rod when turned to passenger. Synergy ‘s latest instructions on the website reads that the rod side mounts to the track bar stud if you have a factory tie rod. Just a heads up to those who love your vids like me.

Is it worth paying double the price for the Rock Jock.

Crow's foot wrench allows you to use a torque wrench in confined space between pittman arm & frame. Be sure to allow for the extra length generated by the crow's foot in your torque setting: Ns = new setting Os = old setting Tw = torque wrench length Cf = crow's foot offset from Tw. Ns=Os(Tw/(Tw+Cf))

One recommendation I have is you should mark all the new nuts with a paint line so that if anything ever gets play or moves around and gets loose you can quickly just take a quick look the castle nut or fastener to see if they have moved. I used to be in the Jeep world and enjoy your content. I do have one comment though. When torquing a fastener, use a slower arm movement as it ensures that the fastener is being torqued (moved) to spec, so that there is no jolting (fast arm speed) of the fastener hitting the torque set limit of the torque wrench and then backing off. Those thread adjustment fasteners on the Synergy products make alignment sooo much easier, the design started to be commonly used on the e9X BMW 3 Series. Another trick is to lube the threads of the drag link ends and tire rod ends with copper anti-seize, it will make future adjustments easier as nothing has corroded together.

We have about 28k miles on it now. It's not so much the tires but the amount of lift and trail use. It's just hard on components. George Schultz yup. Hope to have it up soon.

Am I correct in thinking that a steering stabilizer just changes the harmonics on the steering cycle? Reducing death wobble by slowing everything down. Fixing your tie rods and getting new ends and bushings should really fix any sloppy feeling from axel roll camber and bump steer (maybe, case by case geometry for bump). I'm new, so I'm seriously asking a question based off a few months of research from numerous sources. Be gentle. Lol.

Well, I would never pretend to know more than the numerous sources that you've been talking to. I might recommend you continue to listen to them. Me, the biggest reason to upgrade components like these is so that they can take the abuse I put them through on the rocks. As far as a steering stabilizer goes, it's just a shock absorber and one intended to dampen sudden steering movements.

I would have like to see how the steering preformed after all the changes. I saw it wasn't to bad but still an issue, so it would have been nice to see the steering outcome.

Not sure what issue you're referring to or what you were hoping to see after the changes. These components were installed to take the abuse of hard trail use.

On the pitman you could have used a 22mm crows foot so you could have used a torque wrench on it.

Yup, as I've replied to others, I could have if I had one that big.

How has it been handling or have you upgraded since this video the steering? Awesome video!

Great video! One thing, why not put on a new...better stabilizer? You already had it off.

amazing video, I have a dumb question. When the stabilizer collar moves side to side on the Tie rod, how does it not peel the paint off and how is it that it is put on without any grease ? If it has a good tolerance, wouldn't dirty water send sand particles between it during off roading ? Sorry if this is something very obvious, but I am totally new to this and learning . Thanks

The collar is bolted to the tie-rod, it doesn't move.

Nice install video, those look a lot better than factory parts. Did the change cure all of the wiggles in the steering?

Les Szabo the new track be took care of most of it. This just tightened everything else up
