💯 Plus the crazy part, John Witherspoon was part of Richard's Pryor camp, and was on the NBC Richard Pryor show in the 70s, and his stints on House Party, Five Heartbeats, Boomerang, and more stuff, John was an amazing choice, and no one could play Pops but him

Til this day I still think the Waynes Brothers is one of the funniest sitcoms of all time! John was perfect for that part and in my opinion is one of the most realistic dads in sitcom history. It really feels like he’s their pops in real life. Glad they didn’t make that change.
