The dog wasnt even vicious it was just confused. She said the girl stepped on its tail. That really hurts for dogs. It wasnt attacking her because it hated her or was naturally vicious. It was a reaction to being physically harmed. All animals EVEN HUMANS do this.

@@MTWes-tx2sm wow, that’s really really unfortunate.. pit bulls have natural floppy ears and long tails.. because of how disgusting breeders are, and the stigma this breed gets, the breeders cut off their ears and tails when they’re babies and then sell them after they “heal” …and the fact that you didn’t know that should tell you //even more// just how discarded these sweet dogs are made to feel. So The issue is… genetics still plays a part in dogs. Since the dogs in questions more than likely aren’t actual American pitbull terriers, we will Call them Bully breeds/mixes and they are meant to be Dog/animal aggressive (most are terriers for a reason) and have very powerful bites. They are very stubborn too so they won’t easily release (which sparked the “lock jaw” myth) so one bite from a bully breed/mix tends to be much worse than a bite from other breeds but not always… that’s where the genetics comes in. Now, A majority of the “pitbulls” you see mentioned in the news or stories about attacking people often are mutts that happen to have some sort of bully breed mixed in. While most bully breeds are NOT meant to have Human aggression, breeding and mixing unstable dogs will create undesirable traits. Often times, these bites CAN be avoided if parents would keep their dogs separated or strictly supervised around children but that sadly does not happen as often as it should. The “nanny dog” myth was created to help but has instead caused nothing but harm to Bully breeds… I will forever stand by bully breeds, they are some of my favorite kind of dogs! But the first step in protecting them is acknowledging the truth.
@debrastone2198 Жыл бұрын
@@Boxwiz1 I totally appreciate how you go into the extensive explanation! And I do agree with you & @STFUHEAUX that pitbull dogs do need extra attention in the fact that they can get aggressive - at times - maybe. I too believe they got their bad reputation from humans training them to fight. My major belief is, even though trained & treated right, if I were walking up to a person with a pitty (or any dog for that matter), I stand at a safe distance, ask the owner if I may pet his dog, & if allowed, pet the dog before I approach the owner. That is to assure the dog that I don't mean harm to their human. I just don't want man nor dog to think I would mean harm to the other. And, just for the record, when I use the term "man", I am talking about all humans. Excuse me if I'm old school.

To set the record straight on a few (not all discussed in this video, just ones that stuck with me): 1) Pitbulls are not "dangerous dogs", they were at one point considered nanny dogs because they are so caring. Any dog lashing out has less to do with its breed and more with its situation. 2) SA and molestation survivors are NOT more likely to victimize others. They are actually more likely to be RE-victimized. 3) If the father has custody, it is not necessary because the mother has done something horrific. Sometimes the kids choose, sometimes it's about living situation, or school districts. Everyones situation is different. Fathers are not second class parents. I dont think you're being malicious and I pray you dont spread misinformation for views. Keep helping people, but not at the expense of other innocents.

You’re exactly right! With pit bulls, it’s all in how you raise them up. If you raise them to be fighting dogs, then yes, they can and probably will be vicious at times. But, if you raise them up to be family pets, then, no, it would be highly out of character for them to attack someone. I know this from experience. I’ve had 3 pits in my life and I raised them all to be family pets, not vicious fighting dogs. So yeah, it’s all in how you raise them. Pits get a bad name because they are portrayed to be vicious dogs but, they can be raised not to be. People’s thinking is so twisted. If you don’t know or have concrete evidence of something, then you shouldn’t make assumptions about things you don’t have any ideas of.

"My pitbull is safe" 🤣 They were literally made to fight to the death. They have one of/if not the most powerful bites and they don't let go. Those are all facts and that's why they are dangerous.
@KingStr0ng Жыл бұрын
Exactly. There's so many emotional people here trying to make up a false reality that they are safe but they are not. They're responsible for alot of maulings and deaths.
@MaryK.-ri9fi Жыл бұрын
I'm sorry but you do not have your facts straight. First of all, there is no such breed as "pitbull", and therefore you are just refering to a large group of different dogs that have not been bred the same way/for the same purposes. It would be wrong to put all of them in the same box. Secondly, the average dog bite force is 230-250 psi. The american pitbull terrier's bite force is 235 psi. It has not actually a particularely strong bite except maybe if you compare it with the bite force of a Chihuahua.

As someone who rescues and fosters pitbulls and pitbull mixes they are not mean. They were previously known as nanny dogs because they are wonderful with children until some sick individuals decided they’d be better suited for dog fighting. Even then I’ve had multiple rescues/ fosters that i obtained after being in underground dog fighting rings and they all have been successful rehabilitated, no aggression continued. They just need to feel safe in their environment.

Focus on your kids. None of that petty crap will ever matter. When you see your kids growing up & about to have their own you'll regret so bad the time you wasted when they were little. Just love your kids and spend as much time as you can making them happy. Happy memories is what matters. You don't want to be sitting crying because you wish it could have been different. False and people who trained these dogs to be that kind of dog are the people that should be mowed down by these exact same dogs. Back home they didn't just trained pitbulls to fight they also trained Chihuahuas and golden retrievers as well as chocolate labs, so he going to tell me those are also dangerous dogs that shouldn't be in our homes? Are you going to tell me that they're also bred for fighting and therefore are not nanny dogs? What about larger dogs that are house dogs? Like Great Danes, pointer dogs or hunting dogs even? You sound stupid not knowing actual facts, stop.

Pit bull’s happens to be the nicest dogs I’ve ever met, the reason why everyone thinks that these dogs are the worst is because the owner mistreats it. Every dog does that if they’re mistreated but pit bulls are more protective for themselves if that’s the case.

I don't believe all pitbulls are dangerous it's just the people who own them is how they act, I have 3 pitbulls and they are friendly, alot of dog fight owners use pitbulls that's why they are considered dangerous, my family had a red healer cattle dog, and he got hit by a truck and survived with like no injuries, he was able to walk and everything after, my brother gfs sister stepped on his tail that was damaged from the accident and he jumped up and bite her, it wasn't his fault she wasn't watching where she was walking, mind you it was outside where it was spacious out, he didn't get euthanized because it wasn't his fault according to the vet because of his tail, my brothers family wanted him dead but they gave up because they never came and got him. My brother is still with her so obviously her family wasn't that mad

“Those are dangerous dogs” I love Steve, and I hate to say it, but that actually really really disgusted me. Had to stop the video right there, got the results from the comments on this one. I just had to put my sweet boy down a couple weeks ago due to a degenerative disease that went under the radar until it was triggered. She murdered a family dog for reacting the way it knows to by nature. She also slept with a child and had a baby, with a child.. yet that was totally excused because he “looked” older.. Never once missed a Steve video, never once stopped watching one either, nah from what I’m seeing in the comments I don’t think I’d be able to watch another video from this guy again. I’m gonna give him the benefit of the doubt due to this being an old episode back when pits were seen as “bad dogs” or “killers”, but wow wow wow what a disgusting episode on Steve’s part…
