It's 2024, 22 years since he's been gone, people are still listening to his music, watching videos about him, interested in details of his life and talking about his contributions to the world of music. I'd say those are some pretty legendary achievements. I'm sure that would be something that would make him proud. Imagine being gifted with that sort of talent. What a great life he lived doing what he was born to do. ❤=w=❤

I got to see Waylon perform at Lollapalooza '95. He was sandwiched between the bands Rancid and The Ramones, playing for a crowd of alt-rock twenty-somethings. Waylon's first song went ok with the crowd, then he did "Always Been Crazy", crowd warmed up a little more. Then he did "Good Ol' Boys", and the crowd went bananas. Crowdsurfing, you name it. Waylon said to the crowd at the end of his set, "I hope ya'll enjoyed yourselves, I don't know if ya'll know what to make of me, but I thank you for listening just the same." What a legend.
