I live in a rental apartment too, and I put up peel and stick backsplash tiles, flooring , changed the faucet to a more high end goose neck type, and put a decorative magnetic cover on my dishwasher. It looks so much better.

Love to see all the changes you're able to make renter-friendly. Even if taking that contact paper off was a little slow-going before the hair dryer, it's still way faster than needing to repaint or to sand and strip the doors. As for the ice maker? I actually really liked the gray one. It's just a little more sleep and matches the marbling in the counter. It looks like it can make 2 different size ice nuggets. Because I probably wouldn't need to move an ice maker much, the handle on the white one isn't really something I'd need.
