I find all your videos very valuable Wayne. Thank you very much for making them. Looking forward to our next lesson too! :)

For context, I'm 6 months into coming back after 20 yrs. off. Since our last lesson, I've ditched my long Stamp warmup study, and have replaced it with a much shorter, more focused 'system check' like you describe. I now play C,D,E,F,G (sometimes A) major scales, and then do a D-F and D-G (top of staff) slur to make sure my tongue arch is working (because those are sticking points for me now). After that, I move on to my practice. Like you say, I think I had such a long warm up, I was worn out before I got to range or technical stuff. I've seen lots of improvement in tone, ease of playing, range, endurance, and recovery since making this change.

I'm sorry to tell you this but it's all wrong.

Can you explain why? I had hoped my series would prompt discussion to share insights.
