There was a DJ in Toronto who always said the best live show in the world was Wayne Cochran and the CC Riders at the El Mocambo Club. I got to see him there three times. That was in the 70's. I'll never forget it.

Wow what an interview Wayne Cochran was. His story is one of redemption and grace. RIP Wayne.

Fred Garvin that’s Steve Jordan
@plane_guy60512 жыл бұрын
@@jeffkahl --------- Steve Jordan (born January 14, 1957) is an American musical director, producer, songwriter, and musician. During the 1970s and 1980s, he was a member of the bands for the television shows Saturday Night Live and Late Night with David Letterman. In the early 1980s, Jordan was a member of the band "Eye Witness", along with Anthony Jackson on bass, and Manolo Badrena on percussion. Since the mid 1980s, Jordan has also been a member of the X-Pensive Winos, the side project of Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards. Jordan and Richards have been production and songwriting partners on many of Richards's solo works. In 2005, he became a member of the John Mayer Trio.[3] Jordan also formed the band "The Verbs", which he fronts, with his wife Meegan Voss.[4] On August 5, 2021, it was reported that Charlie Watts had elected to sit out the resumption of the US No Filter Tour due to a heart procedure surgery and that Jordan would temporarily replace him on drums.[5] Following Watts' death, he has played with the Stones both live and in studio.[6]

Great vid, great performer! ...but the audio on this is crazy weird and hurts my brain. The left or right audio channel is 180 degrees out of phase. If you sum to mono left and right cancel each other out and you get almost no sound. ...need to invert the phase on one of them.
@dongiller4 жыл бұрын
Sorry about that. This was an early upload, before I realized I could input the video into FinalCutPro, where I could mute one audio channel and move the other channel to the middle. When time permits, I’ll do that and re-up.

I never realized The World's Most Dangerous Band had a drummer other than Anton Fig and a guitar player other Sid McGuines.
@dongiller6 жыл бұрын
McGinnis; Sid McGinnis. :) Yeah -- Hiram Bullock was the band's guitarist from 1982 until 1984. Paul then held auditions during the summer of '84, and Sid was awarded the chair. Steve Jordan was the band's drummer from 1982 until the spring of 1986, when he left, and Anton then took over. Hiram, Steve, and Will Lee, the bassist, was in a band with Cliff Carter, keyboardist, called the 24th Street Band, from 1978 until 1981. Paul produced their second LP in 1980. So the Late Night band was essentially the 24th Street Band, with Paul replacing Cliff.
