Living in Southern California, I watched Wayne Dyer evolve at the same I was evolving, just ten years older. He achieved, like I hope I have, a certain level of awareness. He shared so much with other people on the same path. And he had a sense of humor. Loved him and love his spirit now. Babala

"Go for knowledge instead of achievements and awards". This is great advice Dr Dyer. I wish the world had listened to you when you first wrote that. I've found enormous pressure from society to always be doing something impressive. I've only recently let go of the notion. But many treat you as if you're invisible or worth little if you're not in the thick of 'achieving'. You have to embrace your own worth while some are ignoring it.

Everybody should listen once this speech. It is deep it means so much it resonates so much! Especially when we can forgive and let go we dont have to forget but we forgive and set ourselfs free! We realise that we are 1/2 responsible and that we are not perfect as well. And that we can change anything in our life that we dont like and create the life we want that are powerfull creators! And we Are responsible!!!😉 And we can change our life for the better.

I used to be really into Wayne Dyer, The Secret, Astral Projection, and all this metaphysical self-help material. However, ten years after the release of The Secret, it is interesting to look at the results. All the people I know who were into the law of attraction still don't have the lives they want. On the other hand, my friends who said, "the law of attraction is bullshit" and went out and worked hard ... now have the lives they want! As for me, getting away from the self-help spiritual industry was the best move I ever made in my life! My life has improved drastically since I left all of this material behind! Most people here will disagree with me, but that is ok. The people who follow the crowd only go as far as the crowd. Love yourself enough to be brutally honest about the results you are getting in your life. Don't settle for less just because you want to cling to a belief! Pride is a wonderful thing, but when it keeps us from learning and convinces us that we know things we don't ... well that is what the self-help industry is. Love yourself enough to let go of this material. Go out and have fun working hard! :)

I am sure all those hard workers also had a lot of faith in their own philosophy, and so the law of attraction was still at work inside them, in their minds, or they would never have even tried.

I love and respect Dr. Dyer who is a very wise man, but I have to disagree on some points he made. Knowing that you can swim, or able to do any other thing is knowledge, not belief, as far as I have experienced. Huge difference! You believe or disbelieve in things that you do not know, but only assume... Knowledge is different, comes as a result of seeking.Otherwise, a great material in this video! :)

I believe the power of positive thinking works.t takes commitment and discipline.I feel optimism works best when you think, act and feel in accordance. You gotta believe in your heart like the air you breathe if that makes sense. Just believing or thinking positive alone won't really move mountains. Not judging you or anything. I'm a believer too n at first it dint serve me well so i watched inspirational films more n somehow i'm figuring it out. "The Secret" does a good job explaining this too.

The illusion the Buddists are referring to, is the illusion that we are separate from each other and separate from Source. The teaching is that we are essentially Source energy or "God" at our essence. We are not separate from God as God is within all of us. Therefore, there is no real death because we are eternal beings and we are having a human experience. Our body dies, but our spirit is eternal. The illusion is that this human experience is final and permanant.

Dayne I see your point about 75%. Its Ok that you ask God to help you. But better yet as God to show you the love that you are. But to open up your avenues to love that you don't you have within yourself
