Umm, no he is not. The car in the opposing direction is signalling that he wants to take the spot on our left side. Then after 'our' driver has gone in position to take the spot on the right, other guy backs up and changes his mind stealing the spot. The arrows on the ground make no sense unless they're backed up by a sign. Placing an arrow at a place where you're already in the wrong direction makes no sense.

I remember an incident with my mum. She was visiting her friend and the flats where she lived had just had two disabled parking spaces added to the car park. Unfortunately they had been added to a part of the carpark allocated to some new private houses and the occupants had taken the huff and fitted two steel bollards to prevent anyone using the spaces. After a heated discussion the police were called and after checking it was confirmed that the spaces were designated disabled spaces the person who erected the posts was asked to remove them. With a smug grin he said he culdent remember where he had left the key. Again after a short conversation with the police I was told that I could remove sed posts. Still with the grin on his face he commented that he would like to see that. This is not something to say to an engineer. I took out a set of bolt cutters and sniped through a couple of expensive padlocks. I don't usually Cary bolt cutters but the day before a friend was having trouble with a padlock on his back gate (to many winters and not enough oil). So I removed the posts and asked if anybody wanted them the person who paid for there fitting did come forward but the policeman in charge pointed out that if they somehow reappeared he would be charged with obstruction at that he lost interest. I had just finished this farce when mum appiered asking where I had got to I told her about goings on and we drove home. After all that I never did get the car I to the space untill the next time we went to her friends. Just incase anyone asks mum had lost a leg and needed a prosthetic to get around it was ok for short trips but she needed a mobility scooter for longer trips. As she was a bit shaky on the artificial keg after about five minutes.

It is analogous to saying "after you" to someone when you arrive at a door or entrance simultaneously. It is better to have a contest to see who can be the most polite than to have a rudeness contest. If you really detest waiting for parking spots so much, it is best to pick times to visit places when they are not so busy or pick less visited places.

The one thing that ACTUALLY sucks is when you’ve sat there for like five +minuets for someone to back out of a parking spot. You’ve had your signal on and someone from the other direction swoops in out of nowhere. I have had this happen a lot when I had a spinal infection and herniation of the disc and could barely walk. I needed that spot. I was about to get a handicap sticker if my back stayed in that much pain... but my back started getting better.

I am an adherent to the "proximity theory of parking lots". The likelihood of damage or drama occurs in an inverse ratio to proximity of the space I use to the front door of the establishment in question. To avoid experiencing both, I try to park as far removed as possible. My 85 year old mother has an excuse to park close habitually, I do not, despite both legs being damaged enough to limp, and a chronic back pain condition. I hate going to a maxed-out restaurant, waiting a long time for a table, service, a drink, my food, and the bill. The Boathouse looks like a typical restaurant with a great view and ambiance, average food at above average prices. A couple times a week I have to deal with parking in a 100% full parking garage with lots of people competing to get any spot that becomes available. Believe me, if I could get a spot slightly further out and walk an extra 30 seconds to avoid this shit, I would, but that just isn't an option. I have straight up been in situations where there is no where to park at all in at least a half mile radius, and the places available to park are in front of businesses so you run the risk of being towed. Maybe this is a problem I've seen because I am in a very big city. Sometimes there honestly aren't other spots, unless you want to walk like 3 miles or risk being towed.

Like picture this scenario: You get to university parking garage with 15 mins until class starts. The lot is full, but the closest lot will take at least 15 mins to drive to due to traffic (and there is no guarantee it isn't full too). This happens to me like twice a week, and I always just end up driving around the lot until someone leaves because I can't be late. Someday youll be in this situation where there really isn't another good option lol.
