We have never been to Albania - thanks for the tour - its lovely. Forgive me if its in another video but wondering about living costs. Also ...when that lovely lady in black started down the steps with the gardening tool I started to laugh thinking about Gordon and his weapons for the dogs - she had a weapon for Gordon! Great video guys!

Hotels and AIRBNB are around $50, 5 stars at around $100 (they are not subscribed to the international system of stars but they are all les then 20 years old and so pretty new and modern, Albanians are neat freaks and obsessed with cleanliness so they are all very clean). Having said that prices are continuously climbing year after year as the word gets out about Albania and they get more and more tourists. Tourism is a pretty new industry for Albania and they are still in the process of figuring it all out. Restaurants are mostly 1/3 -1/5 of what you would normally pay in the western developed countries and seasonal fruits and vegetables are 1/10 if you go to the farmers markets not in the supermarkets, meat and cheeses are priced almost as in the west. Boat tours are $20 - $25.

hahaha she totally did! By the way, he said we heard 'very big dogs'... we never saw the big dogs hahahaha also, about the costs, the reply is mostly accurate. Honestly, it's very affordable. We will cover costs in our last video about Albania where we share how much we spent for accommodation, food, transportation etc. But in general, our airbnbs/hotels average $50 and they were all nice (and it's true, Albanians are obsessed with clean spaces. We always joked saying: if the room is not clean enough to perform surgery, it's not clean enough for Albanian standards haha). Food varies... it's not super easy to find great food everywhere, but vegetarian dishes are super affordable (between $3-$6 depending on where you are). Animal protein is expensive like in the US in a lot of cases though! Beers are $2-$4, cocktails $6-$10... taxis can be "pricey" but nothing crazy. In a city for a short ride maybe $6-$10 and longer rides can be up to $25-$30... buses are super cheap (not great, but cheap haha). I can't think of anything else, but let us know if you have more specific questions :) Overall, Albania is cheapest country we've been so far!
