This was so valuable!! Do you shoot the majority of your wedding films with your 50mm lens? (Not establishing shots - I love that you utilize your wide angle for this!) We use a 24-70/28-70 set up and feel inspired to shift our main video lens to a 50mm. I really admire your work and the look of your shots and feel like the 50mm helps to create that subject separation from the background. Thank you for your input & for always sharing such VALUE and INSIGHT in your videos. Your impact is far greater than you could ever imagine. HUGE FAN.

You guys are making me blush over here! Thank you so much! I absolutely LOVE my 50mm on the wedding day. Before the 24-70 I would honestly just use the 50 for everything because of the bokeh and shallow depth of field. But for things like scenery/location. It’s nice to have a bit more detail and sharpness in focus with a 2.8 or even 5.6 aperture! But everything else 1.4 all day!!! Haha

I use a 50mm all the time for my weddings. you definitely have to move a lot to get the shot that you want though. It does help with the separation from the background for sure.
