I watched an interview she did after a Marshall game and I could see then she is an extremely intense young lady. I’m so happy she is coaching at Tennessee.

Being a coach at Tennessee is more than about winning and losing games it's about the caretaking Pat Summitt Legacy and understanding what Tennessee basketball means to the state the University and the world of women's sports in general can someone so young and so new really understand that and take care of what Summit built

I will just say this. Even though Holly Warwick and Kellie Harper did not win a lot at UT, Kim Caldwell had better win! win!, and win! there in Knoxville!!!! She said that she loves a challenge, well she got it!!!! If she doesn't win next year this ( or the year after that), then this Vol fan ( who lives in North Carolina) is going to be very disappointed!!! Welcome to Knoxville ( and Vols Nation) Kim Caldwell, and i will be watching next year to see how the Lady Vols do.

She's probably been warned about what a jerk he is and how he really, down inside, hates Tennessee sports.

Leave it to John Adams to be the one disrespectful jerk to call her "Kim" instead of "Coach".

I don't disagree that coach Caldwell understands the basketball pressure but this is about so much more then winning or losing basketball she's also being given the enormous challenge of living up 2 Pat Summitt and not just as a basketball coach but as an architect of the women's game I'm just not sure she understands or even could understand the pressure that comes along with not destroying coach Summit Legacy I don't know that anybody besides someone in the Tennessee family can't understand that awesome responsibility I am not saying coach Caldwell can't do it I'm saying I don't know and the uncertainty you're scary with this program if I were in Danny White Shoes I would want to bring in someone who we know for sure could win basketball games but more importantly live up to and continue the legacy of Pat Summitt

I would say she will need to land some good recruiting classes to help with the winning.
@waynejenkins82429 ай бұрын
And you'd better give her more time than you did Harper. Bill Battle (remember him?) hired Kristin Curry from Tx Tech to Bama 11 years ago and this year Bama had a better team than UT did. And with the current landscape of college athletics, y'all better load up you NIL trucks and give Caldwell what she needs to be relevant in that game as well.
@utcnc7mm9 ай бұрын
@@waynejenkins8242 Harper was never gonna meet expectations, she had a job at NC St. and couldn't cut there so I don't think anyone close to the program thought she was gonna even make the Final Four. Harper got the job because she was a Summitt girl and that was really the only reason, keeping it in the family so to speak. So glad they went out and got the best coach they could this time.

I really don't understand how Danny White thinks he can bring Tennessee back to prominence by bringing in a coats that first has no experience playing at the level of Tennessee has no experience coaching at the level of Tennessee and more importantly just got knocked out of the NCAA tournament which is what they say was wrong with Coach Harper Betsy got knocked out to soon well here's news coach Caldwell got knocked out earlier than coach Harper

There's a guy named Josh Heupel who had 3 years experience as a head coach at UCF. Everyone thought Danny White was insane for bringing him to Tennessee. That's worked out pretty well.
