@Michael_Deti3 жыл бұрын
This was a roller coaster of a match. I think we got to see pretty much the whole spectrum of "World Chase Tag", as in the level of play. In my mind No Cap was the clear favorite, they seemed so much better prepared for WCT, especially with Joey in their team. That's why I was very much confused in the first chase, when Wes stopped and turned and was caught immediately. Now - After watching the match I still think No Cap did the better job - or should we say Jarrod?! I also loved how Joey chased, just to be over-shadowed by Falco and his - I want to say insane - walk-up, letting four seconds pass and still getting the catch. He looks like a strong chaser, as opposed to what he said in the interview (if I'm correct). Interesting match, a very unfortunate DTR decision even though I think No Cap would have won either way... No caps were harmed in the writing of this comment.
@alexbevan21833 жыл бұрын
There were some very interesting tactics used by empire this match in regards to the lazy boi (front left corner for anyone not familiar) some great hoarding going on to get the evader idling in the corner at a deceptively low EQ area. Will definitely be watching out for that tactic in future. The other suprise this match was the speed at which Jarrod got through the mountain! That is literally the fastest anyone has gotten through the mountain in WCT history I believe!

@@WorldChaseTag It should be like, if the chaser appeals by raising his has hand 🙋♂️, that he thinks the tag is made, then the lights go red. If the evader thinks tag is not made, he can challenge it. Because by the current rules if the referee thinks the tag is made, even though the chaser knows the tag is not made, the light will turn red and in the DTR the evader will get the evasion. I think this should be incorporated. btw I love watching this sport👍, that’s why I want it to be better.

That vault on the mountain is a GAME CHANGER. I cannot imagine people not trying to emulate that. That's the fastest I've seen someone move through the mountain and he goes down initially, I assume to push off better and use that momentum to go higher and make the vault. But to be fair to both teams there was some really interesting movement in the open parts of the quads. The field sport experience seems to have some advantage there. I'd love to see how a soccer player, who is all about short burst sprints, quick turns and body feints; would do. Some kind of Lionel Messi player who uses good shoulder and hip feints to move one way and then burst the other in open space.

How many times have international matches been effected by bad decision-making despite their multi-million dollar budgets? Many, many times. Does that make them playground level bush league? Hey I have a suggestion. Why don’t you make it like the chaser has to appeal to the referee for the tag. And in any dispute we can go to DTR. That will eliminate the possibility when the referee thinks tag is made but the chaser knows it’s not made, and then it will go to DTR and the evader will get the evasion for no fault of the chaser.

I think that the problem with the referees is that they rush the judgement because they have such pressure from everyone watching and waiting. The key is simple: referees should take their time like the VAR in football. No rushing, they just keep rewinding same scene over and over, while consulting with their peers to come up with the most fair verdict. I noticed that in almost all WCT matches. They rush the verdict. No pressure, referees, take your time when rewinding and fairly consult with your peers. Even if it takes around 30 seconds, do it. A late fair verdict is better than an unfair rushed one.
