Great match. I loved Seth's entrance on the start plate, doing his extravagant animation like some platformer mini-boss. I did expect this match to go the way it did. What makes Apex such a challenging team I think, is that whereas most players tend to be better at tagging or evading, but rarely both, Apex have four members that excel at both (Rob, Michael, Jason, and Seth). They're so lightning fast. When they're chasing they make smart moves that give them flexibility, so they seldom lose momentum. And when evading, they know to dart to a safe spot, look back, and dash off again as soon as their chaser has committed (this is how Kyle Soderman, and Mark Bowles have seen the success they have, along with the other 190+ point athletes, like Sean Law, Cian O'Maitiu and Jarrod Luty). Stephen and Fernando gave the most heat to Apex. But I think for the most part, several members of Ollo either took too long navigating a move after committing (notably at the entrance to the Tilted Cube), or kept stopping, waiting for Apex to make a move. But the problem there is...you're giving your evader time to get a check on *exactly* what you're going to do next. Next match will be very interesting. I am rooting for APK Grey. Mark, Frank, and Ethan are fantastic players. But I don't think it will be enough. I would love to be surprised.

I think GNF has the upper hand on HF, but they can easly turn it around, their match in group A was hot as fuck and really close. Ultimately Id say GNF has way more raw talent in Vasconcellos and Seth Roogi. But i think Julius is their weak spot and can cost them dearly if they let Kyle run laps. However, I dont think Kyle is gonna get away with evasions so easly against the experience of Seth and Davis. I think it will come down to the way matchups are set up. Anyways, a GNF v Apex final would be absolutly legendary, specially considering the spice of having the Merkinator face his former team. In the end HF, GNF and Apex are the highlight of thsi tournament for me, and the only ones looking like they can challenge the top dogs of Europe.

I saw this matchup and... Well, I'm surprised it stayed 4-0. Apex at this point are my favorites to win it while Ollo I think got too far on an easy bracket. No diss to Ollo, they've played well in several matches and shown me wrong on more than one occasion, but they are nowhere near the level of Apex. Seth and Jason are two of the fastest people to touch the quad in this tournament, no surprise to see them both pick up evasions. Rob as well is one of my favorites on the Apex team, he too got a point. We still have yet to see Amos, but I'm told he's absolutely devastating on the quad. It'll be fun to see if that comes true and Apex bring him out against APK Grey or even against HWF/GNF in the finals. I wanted to talk about a few of the inefficient chasing lines we saw from Ollo, but it feels like kicking them while they're down and I don't think taking marginally better lines would've done much to stop this beast of an Apex team. I'm so excited for Apex vs APK Grey! That matchup was so *so* good last time and I want both teams to come out swinging again! Same for HWF/GNF. I'm a little confused why they arranged the bracket this way, giving us a strong likelihood of seeing teams from the same groups end up in the semis instead of putting them as far apart as possible, but when we get these kinds of matchups, I'm not going to complain too much! Really excited for next week!

Apex has given standout performances throughout the tournament and they've done it again here. Watching them feels like they're just too good for any opposition. The speed, power and agility in the squad is devastating 🔥 and they literally eat up their opponents. I am definitely seeing them in the finals! APK Grey might nick a point or two but I don't think they could beat Apex tbh. Excited for the match
