Hey guys I just wanna let everyone know I hit my hit the first time chasing against apk blue. And then I hit it again in the same spot evading Luke. My head split open and I had to be treated by the medics and wasn’t able to get back into the match in time. I felt fully well enough to continue on but we can’t have blood all over the course and let the medics do their job. I’ll try to be more prepared next time and watch out for those bars.

Agreed with both points, it is great to watch him and see also his unique play style. The backwards move was actually a move that I think could be utilised in a future WCT if pulled off correctly, it could have a misdirecting effect on the chaser and provide time for the evader to get out of a tight spot.

A fairly even match considering how OLO is only evading for 19.3% longer per run. OLO: 20 OLO: 9.3 NOC: 6.7 OLO: 15.2 NOC: 20 NOC: 7.0 OLO: 13.4 NOC: 4.2 OLO: 8.1 NOC: 16.3-20 (Judge taking action despite the chaser not indicating a tag being made NOC could have gotten taged in the remaining 3.7 seconds considering how quickly OLO got back into action. (At 7:26 is a great example of the chaser indicating that the tag were made.)) NOC: 7.0 OLO: 20 OLO: 6.7 NOC: 7.2 OLO: 4.3 NOC: 9.2 NOC total: 81.3 (10.1625 seconds average) (Counting the 9th match as 20 seconds) OLO total: 97 (12.125 seconds average) But back to that 9th run, the judges really shouldn't interrupt the match. If the chaser considers it a clear tag, then they will stop chasing. If they consider it too unclear, they will continue chasing. And as has been seen in prior matches, at times the chaser continues for a second tag and then informs the judge of when the prior happened and then a DTR can take place to look into that prior tag. If a judge sees what could be a somewhat unclear tag, then they shouldn't interrupt the match. Unless the chaser asks for the DTR. Since this isn't the first time a judge interrupts the match to say, "I thought I saw a tag there, but on closer view it obviously wasn't. My fault, here is your free evasion." Considering how even 2 seconds at a fair few times is a short amount of time in this sport, then the judge really shouldn't interrupt unless the chaser stops.

@sorin_markov3 жыл бұрын
Wow. These playoffs matches have all been really good! This match literally came down to one person on each side making the difference. For No Cap, it has to be D'ondrai Jones, but not in a good way. I'm sorry, but he conceded both the evasions in this match for his team. He just didn't look like he had the speed of anyone else on the quad. I don't know if that's not getting enough rest or just not feeling it that day, because I don't remember him being a problem previously, but he was not getting it done. For Ollo, Stephen McCarty put in the work! He was absolutely the best player on the quad for Ollo that day and won the match on his own. He is so fast that nobody here kept up with him in the straights and he's disciplined enough that he can outthink most of these rookies on the obstacles. That makes him very dangerous. Joey was great, as always, but showed some flaws. He's as fast as Stephen, but he has some work to do in the thinking department. There were a couple of moments where he looked and saw the chaser, but didn't think about where the chaser would be in just a second. 4:54 his chaser clearly has momentum going toward the front line and Joey decides he'll play into that and goes that way too. His other option was to force his chaser to turn around and play into the high-EQ area of the quad. It works out in the end here, but it doesn't the next time at 5:54. This time he actually tries to cut back, but his chaser is already on him. He wasn't thinking about where Stephen would be in just that half second and decides to kill his momentum in a crucial moment. And again in the SD chaseoff, he kills his momentum when he's already ahead. If he'd kept going, he likely would've lasted longer. It was worth a try if he could've turned around faster, but he just had too much momentum and kept going past where he wanted to stop. There were some other miscellaneous mistakes as well from both sides like dodging to the open side of the Tilted Cube or Lazy Boy. This late in the competition, they should have ironed out things like that. Sadly, I think this match was close not due to players being outstanding and surpassing expectations, but due to players making mistakes and allowing the other team to catch up in moments where they should've pulled ahead. I don't see that working against Apex.

Heroic stuff from Steezy, getting both points and finding a tag early in OT for Ollo. Emic gave up both of their points, but I think that stat is really harsh because he was laying it out and super close both times. Not sure why No Cap didn't run Jarrod a bit more; it feels like a lot of the teams losing in the playoffs are losing due to tactical decisions or weird captain choices. I think the parkour guys are so conditioned to not force anyone to do anything that if someone doesn't speak up they don't get out much, and that hurts if your best player is a quiet one and your captain doesn't account for it.

Chase 10, 16.3 seconds in and the lights go red, making the players stop when the chase wasn't over. It is then decided that it was an evasion even though he didn't get the full 20 seconds. The chaser didn't get the full chance to tag the evader, and the point was automatically given. This happened once before, and WCT responded well to it, saying that they would ensure that it doesn't happen again. And I get that this is a really difficult sport to keep that close of an eye on the players, but I didn't see anyone else talking about this, so I wanted to say something.

Luke Mizel of Ollo (@OlloPK) gets the evasion on Chase 1! Ohw, Stephen McCarty could have evaded it but he almost got out of the quad. Oh my, I really underestimated Kaden I didn't expect him evading Emic Kitsen! Atlast I can get to see Bailey Harter back in the game, on day 2 damn he got himself injured on Stage Game (Group B), I really wanted to see more of him on that Group Stage (Group B) Fernando Arce "The Velociraptor" fast tag! Captain v Captain (Joey Adrian of No Cap (@OlloPK) v Fernando Arce of Ollo)! I feel bad for Emic, this is the second time happened to him but this really looks like an evasion for Joey. Shouldn't Joey's evasion have been re-run? The tag was called by the officials, not by Emic. I remember a previous game in which it was discussed that in this case it wouldn't be fair to the chaser to give points for the evasion, so a re-run should be done

One thing I still don't quite understand regarding the rules (this happened twice w team NoCap, once with the recent video vs Ollo and once with Team Empire, both times with Joey, I believe): Tag is called by a ref. DTR review shows no tag. Since the call for DTR was made by no fault of the chaser, would it make sense for the same round to be rerun? It seems in the case of NoCap that they receive an evasion anyways.
