I'm watching this while Scott hall is being taken off life support.....the man had his demons....but nobody can say he's not an honest man, the razor character is one of the top 3 heels of all time, I'm thankful for DDP who gave him 5 more years that he most likely would not have had. This is the last call for Scott Hall......you will be missed and wrestling won't be the same

Scott will forever be an ICON. regardless of his demons, and to be honest he only had the one but that one destroyed him because he just never asked for help to come to terms with it and accept it for what it was, a horrible tragic accident that he had to defend himself. that would be a very hard thing to deal with, his drinking is the only thing that temporarily gave him peace of mind from that event, it just was not the right peace of mind he needed. Scott was a freaking genius in the ring and out of the ring, he was authentic and loyal. I miss him so much man

Been a wrestling fan since 1983 at 8yrs old & I remember tape trading in the late '90's and the big shoot interview influx, especially from RF Video. Out of all the companies (I love Kayfabe Commentaries), all of the shoots going on 20+ years now, my favorite is this, RF Videos first Scott Hall shoot. He's sober (relatively, lol) and just razor sharp. The stories are classic and Hall's delivery is just tremendous. Dude can put you right there in the situation he's talking about. This edit is pretty brutal, out of sequence, but the full shoot interview is brilliant. Scott should do a podcast but in this format, just a few questions to spark his memory & let the stories unfold.

Mettin Kaytaz that’s because it was his best time in the business... best gimmick, best matches, etc. and wwe is the place to work for and Vince is the man to work for. It was the “big times” so to speak.
@TheSweetestScience

Him and Kev both said that they didn’t want to jump to WCW because they enjoyed working for WWE too much and like I said, they knew it was the big leagues. The only reason they went back to WCW is because they were gunna pay them a huge amount of money to do so but that was the only reason, otherwise they would have stayed. Scott says Vince didn’t even need to match WCW’s offer, if he would have just given him a raise through merchandise sales he would have stayed.

@@TheSweetestScience Well it's not even that WCW was giving them THAT much more money than WWF, it's that they were giving a little bit more cash for A LOT LESS work days. I think the dudes in WCW worked something like 1/3 less matches than the WWF schedule averaged.

I think he’s most proud of that time as far as in-ring work goes. He was in great physical shape (before his addiction and alcohol problems in WCW). But even in WCW, he was in great shape in ‘97 but in the middle of ‘98 he got injured, Spicolli died, his wife divorced him, then his substance problems started to come to a head. His in-ring work was still top tier, but the booking and storylines were going downhill

Thanks brother for posting these & cutting the deal with RF Video. Feinstein is doing what Sean Oliver & other shoot producers should've done 5 years ago. License these shoots and make a few bucks after that 1 month or less window that they really can sell the fucking things. As soon as word of what was covered is reported on the dirt sites the semi-hardcore fans don't care about it. It's the insane hardcore's like me who'll listen to this again even after hearing the fucker 5, 6 times since it came out. I like to play shoots while I'm driving or doing work or something...just love them. Especially cats like Hall, Nash and Cornette... just masters at telling stories. Keep doing work man...

I would give a video a few years and then look to either post it on KZbin myself (but of course AdSense is now all screwy) or license them out to guys like you who will post them and put them over. Hope you get some views and new subs to make up for the licensing dough. Thanks again...

Over the years in interviews I hear Scott Hall give credit to Larry Zbyszko for how he debuted in 1996, he does all the time, I think that's cool that he gives credit to Zbyszko like that

I know this is a few years old but this was fantastic. I was a kid in the 90's (born in 86) and there was nothing better on TV than Raw and Nitro. And to this day, the male stars ABOLSUTELY STRUGGLE in the shadows of these legends, their dialogue, and their wresting. The women are the stars now. Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and all these bums are the same guy. Long black hair, black boots, black trunks, and absolutely NO charisma. I fast forward everything that isn't a women's match now.

I remember Flair and Hall did a PPV promo. I think Flair was pissed of at maybe Rick Rude. He was ranting and raving. Razor told him "camate Ric," trying to say calmate Ric.

Scott hall truly is one the best to never won a world title and yes he has had a long history of substance abuse but he is now sober and five years ago who would have thought this so congrats to the bad guy for a great career but most importantly his soberiety

Scott was so cool, and so entertaining, he never needed a belt. Kind of like the Undertaker, being a top star in WWF/WWE for 30 years, and only won the big one 5 times, and not for long any of those times. He never needed the belt to be over.

Scott was always my favorite out the Kliq no offense to HBK or Nash but Scott was always the most technically sound n fluent guy n the ring also he could cut great promo's he's the most underrated Pro Wrestler in history!

Hall was solid. He was popular with fans and was pretty reliable. I see scott as more of an idea guy. HBK was one of the best ever. Both great in their own right but HBK in ring, it's difficult to name too many ahead of him.

@Gene Bone I have so many I enjoyed watching. Hennig, Savage, Rhodes, Steamboat, Benoit, Guerrero, Jerichoand Brett. I rate everyone you mentioned too. I wasnt keen on HBK, Hall, Steamboat, Brett and Benoit on the mic though. It's all subjective I suppose. Kurt was one of my favourite from day 1 in wwe though. The complete performer.

@Gene Bone I used to watch Dynamite when I was young but I think he was fucked physically st that time. I went back and watched his earlier stuff and yeah. Super talented, knew what he was doing in the ring as far as having great matches and was a trend setter. No one was doing what he was doing at that time. I'm sure he was a massive influence on Brett.

I am so proud of you Scott. Not everyone that has been through what you have gets a second chance at life. Stievie reay vaugh was a alcoholic and drug user and loosing his wife Because of his substance abuse. I’m very sure you heard of him. He got clean and sober. I think about you a lot and you are so loved.
