Jesus is the Messiah and Lord and Savior. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, He gave his only begotten son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life. John 14:6- I’m the way, the truth, and the light. NO ONE comes by the Father, EXCEPT though me. Romans 10:9-If you confess with your mouth and your heart that God raised him from the dead, you’ll be saved. Romans 10:13- For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Romans 10:17- Faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ. Other verses on The Roman Road- 3:23, 5:8, and 6:23. Also, John 3 and Romans 8. John 3 is about salvation, and Romans 8 is the spirit and flesh. Then, read John, Romans, and the rest of the Gospels. Matthew, Mark, and Luke.

I love the Mk4 body style. The 20th Anniversary GTI is a personal fave. If you can fine the correct engine (1.8) with its appropriate computer, the correct wheels, tires and brakes plus any other missing bits and bobs, it would be a great car. Even better - it’s a manual. Too bad it isn’t blue. Much better color that year. Learned to drive a stick when I was 9 or 10 in a 67 beetle! Drove a stick until just a few years ago.

One of the front seats is probably from a 337 edition GTI, hence the different stitching. You can pick up used AWP 1.8T engines for under $500. I would fix the car up and then flip it or keep it. Depending on condition and mileage you could fetch 10k + for the car in the end.

It was a dream car of mine forever and purchased mine new off the showroom floor. It was my baby before my “real” babies came along. My vote is to restore this thing without question. Find a set of original style rims also. They are a great looking wheel. I know they were found on the Golf R’s at the time so they’re out there. Slap a VR6 in this thing and rip it. The VW 1.8T 20V engines that these came with are great. Modified versions of them were even used in Formula 2 cars from 2009 to 2012 and produced 450hp in qualifying spec. The GTi Anniversary Edition also had a bit bigger turbo and produced about 30hp more than the standard GTi.

I think it looks better with the yellow stripes and different wheels, not even the factory ones. RPF1's looks very good on these cars. If you want to put it back on the road it all depends on what you got along with the car, good usable engine, turbo and other parts. If you don't have the majority of the parts then it might not be worth it because those parts are pretty expensive, my 2 cents. Good luck with it :)

Finding a transmission will likely be more difficult than an engine, both can be had without spending a fortune though I'm sure. The car would be a bit of a labor of love, but it could be a great way to start a new series and use the proceeds to help pay for parts costs. If the chassis is rust free, the value of this car will be on the rise soon.
