I grew up in Canton Commons in the 80s and 90s while the neighborhood was bad the area was good. Now Ford road is a nightmare and the subdivisions have exploded. Thanks for the info

Truly saddened, over my 30 years in this area, to see the growth explode. In thirty years this quiet, peaceful area has been over run by development. The motto of the city should be , 'develop every square inch at all costs. ' 🤦🏼♂️

I know that road well, from 7 mile to Michigan Ave. Been driving it for 25 years, and before that Beck when it was still gravel. I grew up out around here. Used to hunt the woods, gone. I've watched all the development as it's happened,so sad they are building to the county line, the village of Cherryhill. I saw the same thing on Beck( there was a farm on the corner of Beck and Joy. My uncle lived there in the fifties) There is only about two and a half miles of Ridge left unpaved. I grew up in a construction family and used to see building as a good thing. Not any more. I think this kind of building over taxes some very old and in need of replacing infrastructure. It also changes the lay of the land. The land gets flatten out a don't drain well(Canton flood.) They have tortured the timber, and stripped all the land and wrote it all down to the progress of man. And when all these deeds of glory are place in front of thee, when you asked what man has wrought don't rest your gaze on me.
