The intro to the "Live and Let Die" theme was really great in particular. McCartney and his wife did a great job when they wrote it and this arrangement is unique and superb.

What I love about this group is that they’re playing a mix of VERY completely different styles of music- orchestral and big band. Way different styles- straight vs loose and swingy. And they pull it off beautifully. Well done! (Note the drum set and electric bass- never found in a symphony orchestra.) Reminds me of trumpeter Winston Marsallas- who would perform with a symphony, change out of his tux, take his horn, catch the subway and play jazz until the wee hours.

Ha ha. Monty Norman composed the James Bond theme and is now 93. Did you see him there? John Barry composed the music for eleven further James Bond Films but he died in 2011 so he may have been there in spirit:-)

I have heard a lot of arrangements of the Bond themes and always enjoy them (and NEVER get tired of them) this was exceptional!!
