What if monsters inc land coming to MGM replace which land?
@d.c.32203 ай бұрын
Most likely location is where Lightning McQueen starts and probably goes north across Cypress Dr. where there is a few acres of empty land. They could drop Cypress Dr. below ground and have all that area to build on.

Will anyone tell me where in the park it’ll be located? I hope Muppets and Star Tours stay.

Probably Animation Courtyard

@@danshull1331 So, you don't think they'll get rid of Muppets or Star Tours? Why didn't they mention any location details at the event!?

I’ve seen some pretty credible speculation from Alicia Stella (theme park reporter who is very good at what she does) that Monstropolis might take over the area currently occupied by Rockin’ Rollercoaster and the Lightning McQueen Racing Academy show. It makes sense, but it’s disappointing if true: they’d be replacing rather than adding capacity (not sure how the proposed rides compare to the current attractions, but DHS needs more things to do).
@giovanniiamunno78743 ай бұрын
@jimgrote304 but Rocking roller coaster is a class they just re-opened. I doubt they'll demolish that. Also, would all the new rides in the new area get a virtual queue or not?

@@giovanniiamunno7874 I don’t think they’re ready to start building the Monsters, Inc. stuff just yet so RRC will be around for a while longer - I rode it last year and it was a bit rougher than I had remembered it, so whatever work they did on it was needed. It was pointed out that the section of Monstropolis that was shown in the concept art looks a lot like the area by RRC and Lightning McQueen: the Monsters, Inc. factory resembles the gravity building where the bulk of RRC’s track is located, and the apartment buildings & shops could utilize the theater space that’s available next door in the Cars attraction. There’s probably no launch for the proposed door coaster, so the tunnel that’s currently in place can be torn down, which allows for courtyard space. Aerosmith just announced a few days ago that they’re calling it quits; they’ve been talking about re-theming the ride for forever, and while I’m sure plans have been in the works this is about as perfect an opportunity to announce that they’re moving on to keep things fresh.

Please Please put Monster Inc in that area I never go to. Is it called Animation Courtyard? I don't know it's name bcuz I never go there. I saw some nice Frozen animation art years ago. I am disappointed that they're even thinking about a one IP land. Let's hope this means they can remove Monsters Laugh Floor.

HMMMMMMMM I WONDER WHERE THEY ARE GONNA PUT IT?!
@studio73893 ай бұрын
So, since Boo’s in the concept art and Pixar would NEVER use 20-year old character models for a new ride…they’re making a proper sequel and putting her in it, right, or at least taking over production for the Disney+ show for Season 3 (they’re doing 2 TV shows right now that look great, so I think they’re building up the infrastructure to do it properly)? Also, are they gonna acknowledge the Disney+ show in this thing?

Orrrrr is this just like last D23 where it’s all a peep rally and nothing ever happens
@kellykristine12383 ай бұрын
It’s very different. Last D23 it was all Blue Sky so only what they are thinking about doing. This year is the plan with tentative dates. Will it all happen as they announce this weekend is obviously still yet to be seen but it’s very different from last time

Clearly it's not since we have Incredicoaster at California Adventure and Rock N Roller Coaster at Hollywood Studios (which is where the Monster's Inc. ride will be)

@@theskullspookychannel6343Inverted as in the trains are under the track. The rides you brought up have inversions, but are not inverted coasters

The correct term is SUSPENDED coaster. Inverted is like saying the coaster has inversions. This is a family coaster.
@xguitarist_3 ай бұрын
@@rcrramos8242 If we’re splitting hairs suspended isn’t right either, Wikipedia and RCDB say suspended uses cars attached to a pivoting bar like Iron Dragon and Big Bad Wolf while inverted directly attaches the trains to the track like Montu, Nemesis, etc. By that definition this would be an invert (unless it swings or something but we don’t know for now), but manufacturers use whatever names they want. Vekoma calls their family models like Dragonflier (and likely this one) a suspended coaster despite not swinging and technically being an invert. B&Ms family models like Phoenix Rising is listed as “Family Inverted Coaster” on RCDB but a press release called it a suspended coaster despite it not swinging. Neither Dragonflier or Phoenix Rising have inversions but are inverted models
@rcrramos82423 ай бұрын
@@xguitarist_ Dont think too much of it, it's a family suspended coaster. Disney always works with Vekoma as evidenced by their coaster lineup so whatever Vekoma calls it then that's it.
