VIP mode has potential, but ending the game early because someone killed the VIP really sucks, especially in cases like the second game when two factions killed the VIP and the game just arbitrarily decides that one wins. Killing the VIP should only kill all of the remaining town faction, not end the game. That way any remaining coven/neutrals can settle things.

It was 2 apocalypse vs 1 coven so the game wouldve ended that way no matter what. Im pretty sure it does kill the town if the game isnt already over

I think the main issue (Which I didn't mind bc I found funny) was that they just went all any and left it to the wind. Which is how they got that first game. Again I still find that funny but that's just me.

Just kinda frustrating that the first people that show up are people who feel entitled to a certain amount of someone's time. 😅 And yea I wish I could watch his Twitch vods but Roku doesn't support it. So lame.

Hey, Chilled - any chance, during these videos, you could toss the role list on screen after a game? Especially in all/any it can be hard to sort out who was who if the game ends fast and it's kind of neat to see who was trying to do what in retrospect. I have no idea why ToS2 doesn't do that by default, the way the original and the Among Us mod do.

She wouldn't have necessarily known Chilled was the berserker though. Could have been possible that Chilled was an on-killing role, but that someone else who was the berserker also visited. So she took the sure-fire shot at the one who should have been dead but survived (this assumes that coven did in fact try to kill pjonk.) And actually... I'd say it was better for her to leave Chilled alive even if he was the berserker. The coven has a witch who can control whatever he does. Honestly, it's kind of weird that the witch didn't control Chilled that final night.

So to me, who has never played this: It seems like a misplay on the Witch's part to NOT maintain control of Chilled that final game. You know who the berserker is, so just use them to do all the killing for you. Simple, done. But I guess I have some questions: If the witch controls you to do the thing you were going to do anyway, do you still get a message saying a witch controlled you? Also in this game: Sneeg was was the VIP. Let's say Chilled was going to attack Courtilly. The Witch sends Chilled after Sneeg. Who gets the win? Apocalypse because Chilled landed the blow or Coven because they orchestrated the blow? And combining both questions into one: Chilled targets Sneeg, Witch uses Chilled to target Sneeg. Now who gets credit for the win?

I’m trying to figure out how the game determines which group wins in a VIP game. So I think in the first game the Coven killed the VIP, there was one pirate, 2 apoc, and a bunch of exes. Only the VIP was dead, so while there were enough living players to keep the game going, kill confirm on VIP gave the win to coven. Then on the next game we have the VIP being killed by both apoc and coven, with 2 apoc still alive and (presumably) 1 coven. So imo there are two options: either apoc got it cause their kill showed up first, they had more living faction members. I considered previous total kills as a qualifier, but if that was the case it’d have totally gone to coven, unless gifting bread counts as homicide.

The first game definitely worked like that, but I'm not so sure about the second. I'm pretty sure that the game just have a list of who wins when multiple factions kill the VIP simultaneously, where Apocalypse simply has higher priority than Coven. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a wiki page or anything on VIP mode so I don't really have a good way of fact checking. Regardless, it's arbitrary and stupid.

@@kylerivera3470 The faction that kills the VIP wins the game, if town or a neutral evil( Pirate, Doom, Exe, Jester) kill the VIP all town die. If multiple non neutral evil evils kill the VIP it’s based on a priority system | Apocalypse -> Neutral Killing -> Coven. It’s like this because if all town were to die when the VIP is killed, Coven would win like 90% of the time

I’d say the most fair way to handle this is just to have all factions that killed the VIP win, as all the other ways of determining the winner end up feeling unfair to someone. Not sure how that could be implemented on the end screen, though the easiest I can imagine is playing the win screens back to back for whoever won. It would be neat to see joint victory screens between different killing factions though, even if they only showed up rarely.

Hey chilled no idea if you read comments this late. I wanted to ask if you knew that your steam profile is based off the ex blizzard director of cinematography. When south park was making the episode he helped make a lot of the wow parts and to thank him they based the villain of the episode off him. He retired after 23 years but he appears on stream with his son whos in his 20s called jason thor hall. The son also went to work for blizzard and worked on ecery wow expansion except burning crusade. Hes done a load of stuff. Im not pushing his channel but I thought youd find it interesting because he goes over a lot of the internal history of wow. But yeah the dad who your pfp is based on gives off strong junk vibes. He must be in his 50s now.
