I can relate to a cheese incident in an airport, was moving to Texas. Took some cheese from the state I used to live in to the airport to get on a plane. Went through security. Mind you, these were 1 lb blocks wrapped in aluminum foil. Security agents thought they were bombs, but then realized it was cheese. We had about six bars of them.

The reason why you feel miserable exercising is because you don't exercise. When you never exercise, your body isn't used to it, and it doesn't respond correctly to it. Once you get fit, exercising becomes a very enjoyable experience. The release of a lot of endorphins makes you feel great. Muscle burn during exercise decreases in intensity and also changes to something less painful. I'm going through that all over again right now. I got long covid, and lost my fitness and gained weight. Now that I'm feeling better, I'm trying to regain my fitness, but it sucks and its hard. I do have the benefit of knowing what it was like to be fit, and the awareness that my current Joint issues are related to my low fitness and something I can make go away.
