Finally lol.. i recognised a road...18:15 ...road heading to Covilha ....love the fact you can hoon around and not have to worry about dullards with dashcams reporting you like in the uk..it is literally a breath of fresh air over there...

😎👌 the roads are great and we only usually get big smiles, waves and thumbs up from passers by 💯🏍️❤️ the Portuguese seem to have a love and respect for motos and it’s rider, something that’s the opposite in the UK, pair that with terrible roads in England and it makes it rather difficult to enjoy 😅

It looks like Central Portugal can be busy during summer even in the remotely areas 😅 I'm like Jonny, places with over 10 people it's a bit crowded for me but Vale do Rossim looks amazing! 😃 The roads look great, apart of the gravel ones 😅 Sam "Piso em mau estado" means "road in bad condition", unfortunately in those kind of remotely areas the roads maintenance doesn't exist 😔 Lagoa Comprida beach looks amazing and the spot that you've chosen surely looks like a piece of paradise 😃 Already waiting for the next video! Bom dia David 😃 thanks so much! Yes definitely we were super surprised. Vale do Rossim does look nice but we think Lagoa Comprida tops it for stunning scenery and tranquility the fact Vale do Rossim has a great cafe though does make it quite a desirable place to visit it’s just quite busy. Yes the EN232 and the N339 are great roads we do recommend them for bike and car enthusiasts, nice scenery too! See you next time 😃 abraço também

0:40 - Well, this time around the Portuguese lesson of the day is quite funny: you pronounced "vale" as "veil" but in fact the pronunciation is more similar to its English counterpart (valley) than you think, just remove the "ey" and the sound of "vall" is pretty close to what "vale" sounds in Portuguese. 🙂 1:06 - Yes it was, Jonny, but it had Luxembourgish plates. You'd be very lucky if you could find one with portuguese plates, since they sold very few when they were still on sale. 1:49 - I don't know if you noticed it yet, Jonny, but all the side rails in Portugal have a an extra sheet of metal below. Those were implemented some years ago as bikers' protections because the rails' pillars became a deadly "weapon" as the number of bikers on the roads increased. In case of a fall, if the biker slid straight into them the chances of surviving were very low. Even in the case of a low speed crash, the chances of broken bones or even severed limbs as a result were very high. I was part of the bikers' movement that pressed the government to implement that protection due to the amount of deaths and amputations caused by the exposed pillars. 3:53 - "Piso em mau estado" means "bad road surface". They usually put up a sign warning people instead of fixing it. 😡 That's why Google Maps was showing Jonny a different route. 8:17 - They're not foreign tourists, the cars you see with foreign plates are from portuguese emigrants. 😉 Sorry for the long comment. 😊

I don’t think we’d ever buy one but they seem a pretty good car. We didn’t know that. I’m glad they improved this for bikers. Yeah we were quite surprised that the sign directed us down that track rather than the good road (EN232) then turn left. But atleast we can show people where not to go 😅 Oh nice one 😃

😅😅 it was around 30 degrees at Lagoa comprida and it was perfect for a cool off. Saying that I didn’t fully submerge just sitting in it for a bit was enough 😅 (it should be in our next video) we find another lovely bit of road going up 😎
