We hope this comes out before Titanfall 3 lol
We should also make clear that this will not be anything close to a port. For that you will have to wait for Respawn to do so. We will make our own game, the title is more of a comparison as we further show in the video. It should also be clear that the where to steal anything that (1) then this would never come out and (2) that we think it would be immoral, so we won't.

Vox Machina is a pretty interesting mech experience if you can get past the lame story. World of Mechs was too grindy for me. After playing Underdogs, I though having a vr mech game with wheelchairs would be amazing, because you only have your hands to move your body with so I think that would be more intuitive than the ape controls.

Please dont give up on this, it would be one of THE sickest vr games out there and id definitely play it no matter the cost, (also dont rush it, its better to release the full vision of what you want it to be and even more than your original vision, then to give in to the pressure of people wanting it sooner)

personally so long as the game doesn't totally forget to be playable for people who can't move around (small or seated-only playspaces, people who can't stand for extended times/at all), I'm happy. I'm stuck as a seated player due to lack of space for VR in my household, so if the game massively disadvantages players who are seated/unable to move around, I guess I'll have to pass, even though it sounds super cool.

I like what you're considering for the cockpit. I suggest that you make each titan have it's own style of cockpit. How the pilot interacts with each titan should make them feel unique.

Lol this sounds very similar to a vr project I've been working on myself. Particularly the titanfall type game with a pacific rim style cockpit, and good hand physics. Main difference is I'm more interested in a story campaign with less extreme movement (to treat peoples vr legs a little more kindly) and instead focus on some more puzzle elements along with narrative experiences. Super cool to see people thinking so similarly to myself

I'm super excited for Wavefront already, but hearing that another dev (you) is trying something similar makes me even more excited, especially since Titanfall 2's campaign is my favorite FPS game campaign ever. If you can get that type of thing in VR? I'll buy it day one release

@@isaacwildflower214 That's really encouraging to hear! I'm really early in development atm though, so it will likely be a while. I'm currently working on the out of mech interactions and gameplay mechanics. I have yet to work on the actual mech itself. However, a lot of the human interactions will likely be able to transfer to the mech. I'm curious as to what platform (quest, psvr, or pcvr) you're using, as I'm uncertain of whether or not I want to make a quest build. I'm a huge fan of vr games with high graphical fidelity, so I'd prefer to work with higher quality assets. I was also thinking of making devlogs so let me know if you're interested in that as well. I'm hoping to have a playable proof of concept in less than 12 months. Also, considering you're a fan of TF, I figure I share with you that to enter your mech, you have to physically climb up it's body to enter the cockpit. I thought it was a really cool mechanic, so I figured I'd share that with you.

I also value good graphics, especially in VR (Part of the reason Half Life Alyx is my favorite VR game) I would absolutely be interested in watching devlogs about this game, as I love VR, love indie devlogs, and love TF. And oh yes, the idea of being able to actually jump or climb into a mech/titan sounds absolutely awesome. I can't wait to see what you do for this game in the future.

But honestly, while the games graphics were huge for me (especially at first), when I replayed it with dev commentary on is when I really appreciated the thought and attention to detail that went into all of the interactions and level design etc. to minimize jank, and allow the perfect mix of authored gameplay and player freedom

We all love Titanfall, but I don't think that vast majority of players will be ready to crazily swing their hands like their playing beat saber in order to be proficient in matches in your vr version of Titanfall😊

I've played titanfall ( both 1 and 2 ) for a longgggggggggg time, and it is still one of my all time favorite games I come back to every year to replay the campaign + attrition multiplayer, so seeing this made me actually excited! @@wingsoficarus1139I still never understood the real problem with pc having better graphics than quest (I’m a quest player) honestly I would be cool with pc having somewhat better graphics, as long as the render distance and such is fair.

The problems that competitive games have to solve are: 1. How do we make it so that pc players don't see the quest players before they see them, when walking around a corner for instance. 2. Which colliders to use. Should one platform have a lot of invisible walls that block bullets, or should the other platform be able to shoot, though objects sometimes. We aren't trying to be super competitive, so we have to worry about this less.
