As you're putting your screws through the high spots of the panel, it will make the panels get unevenly "wider" as you go. To guard against this you need to measure to the far end of your frame to know where that near edge of the next piece needs to go and make a mark on the frame. Screw that near edge down first and *then* screw the overlap to position the sheet -- then finish adding the rest of the screws. :)

Hey Rodrigo, your roof panels look stunning - I love that colour (very festive). I will be replacing the flat roof on my house to a pitch and will be painting the roof sheets that colour. It's cheaper to paint than buy them coloured where I stay in South Africa. You're a good friend teaching Iberto to ride a motorcycle and he is a quick study picking it up so fast. You have grown up so fast yourself. Your confidence is uplifting in a world where most people your age don't have a clue about their chosen path. Your parents must be so proud. And doing the top first is safer. Because there's no place to stand if you do the bottom first. You are doing it the safest way. The hard part will be the cap. May need a harness and ropes with 3 people pulling you up. Everyone on the farm are some of the hardest workers I have seen. Peace and high fives to everyone.

Put a pool noodle on the top edge of the new panels to be lifted, then slide it up on the previous panel so it slides up easily without catching on your rafters. The pool noodle will prevent scratching the panels.

Wondering if putting the bottom piece on first is easier. Then top panel overlapping. Having help is definitely the easiest way 💯 Your handy helpful creation is epic. That’s a fantastic color for roofing panels. I used it for a shade sail in a community park on the pergola to replace a wooden roof that’s as blown apart by the Derecho storm. I’m excited to see from start to finish with everyone else. I’m rehabbing a property from 1900 and you’re work encourages me so much. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🙌🏼❤️😁 PS- that makes epic sense on the scratching. An idea: overlap the sheets at the bottom, before pulling them up. Then it will work like a sled, and also you'll avoid putting them the wrong side. The sheets in the wright position, and overlaped from the getgo, should be sliding more smoothly. Keep up the good work!

Well done on getting a 1/4 of the roof on, love the colour choice as well….. I don’t know what your plans are for the interior décor, but try to find a way to introduce the roof colour to the inside… When you used the plywood for your workshop I suggested using it inside you finished home, but with something like a black recess/ edging. If you did do that you could use the roof colour instead of black or even black on the left and upper edges and the other colour on the bottom and right edges of the plywood, this would mean you get a different look/colour looking one way and a different colour when you turn around and look the other way…..
