Feeling so emotional about all your accomplishments! This is living your dream at it's purists. I love how you taking your whole family on this journey (together with your husband) and sharing your knowledge with all the others who love gardening, having a homestead, farm, healthy food lovers, etc. THANK YOU JESS and family, I am following since almost 3 years. I am sure that there are many different ways this will be done, so this will grow exponentially very fast. Only need 10% of the USA for it to take over. That's 35 Million. What a wonderful concept! A centre like that will be such an asset for the entire “HOMESTEADING’” community. There are several subjects that [although I’m in Australia} I’ve been Abe to direct folk to information. This started with Heath and Cedar [don’t know their surname] FOLK at RED POPPY RANCH. Heath did a LOT of LEG WORK and research into Solar TOTAL system. Where to get the best deals, best panels, most appropriate batteries -- the ‘full 9 yards’ [of information]. One of my longest histories is with ‘Lumnah Acres’. when Al and Gina were starting to look at solar panels, I cleared it with Heath first, but he has ALL HIS WORK ON ONE VIDEO. I know he had conversations with Al and Al [I think] really appreciated all the help. Heath. - to trade was/is a Plummer. so as Al’s progressed through that stage of building his home, I’m fairly certain Heath has chattered and helped Al. there are other subjects that I’ve tried to ‘head’ folk off in directions of ‘ENRICHMENTS’. I was a Registered Nurse / Midwife all my working life, As I was coming to an end of my working life I knew I could not continue on this profession. My Back, I am on a walking frame for mobility and for outings I’m now in an electric wheelchair. I do have a Disability Scooter to Gert me around my local area. I could see this coming back in the mid ’90’s. I have since 94 obtained a diploma of Applied Science. Human and Community. Because I was in my 50’s employment was so difficult to ‘traverse’. I was a ‘LifeLine’ Counsellor for a few years. I did get my Degree in Counselling. Strange as it may appear, I enjoy my little life n the internet, chatting with people from all over the globe, directing where possible, people to helpful folk to ‘LINK-UP’ to successful folk. Why leave people to reinvent the wheel, so as to say. Ill let you go, you are very busy people. I should not HOGG your time. Loved 'Mia's touching the young pig who was looking at him, like Welcome to your new home. It must've been a comfort after that long ride of wondering where they were taking him. When they all got to tossing around who's going to be cleaning out the back end of the van. I saw Mia's humor when he said something funny & just slammed shut the back end of the Rhode's van, which pretty much ended the topic. Since the gifted young pig had already been removed & was just loaded to be taken to his new pen,so it was like the pig's mine now, fool. The mess is yours. I live little further up in South Carolina, and I am excited for when the store opens up. There is such a need for things like this, I personally have felt like there's so many people in my area trying to do these things on their own and not really having the time to invest in learning the right ways to homestead. I have made so many mistakes well not even mistakes more like missteps. And there's so many things I still have to learn. And as someone getting started in this, and pretty much all of life a little bit older than the average person getting started, it can be daunting. Like I'm not afraid to do pretty much anything that I watch KZbin videos about except for canning because you can kill someone if you don't do it right. And the whole idea of doing some of this is to find a way to provide for your family to protect them. I've asked so many people if they teach me how to can and nobody has really maybe even felt confident enough to show me or host a small class of people who are interested in it. And as someone who did not have the advantage of growing up being taught these things in person by my relatives I very much would take the time and spend the money to travel to another part of the state to learn something so important in person. I literally will be planning a vacation that way when the store opens just for that purpose. Funny for a 77 yr old Northener from WA state to say but I think the old saying of "the south will rise again" may be coming true with your dreams in a very good way! I always saw this saying as a negative until today when I watched your video. Thank you for giving me some hope for the states where all of my progeny resides while I am the refugee to Mexico and they mostly think I am a little loco. LOL!
