I love to listen to him, and I hope he will recover! But there is a fire burning inside, Lots of Love and I hope he is just fine.

Very inspirational, thank you for this talk. Everybody should start moving in that direction on his/her own, we have no time to wait for politicians to change.

Thomas Erikson is a great scholar! Happy that I was able to listen his other lectures too in person. His books are best reads in anthropology.

Was this talk really just about stating that the world is accelerated? We have known this for a very long time. A talk worth listening to would be feasible solutions to these problems. The only solution he mentions is to "scale down" but does not explain how to do this in a feasible way. In other words he completely skips the only difficult question. That this talk is labelled "brilliant" is absurd.

Great topic and brilliantly exposed. Nevertheless, I think he does not grasp the implications of the acceleration of climate change, or at least he puts that aside in this talk

Poor soul, has he been battling cancer or something? I'm afraid that for me as I watch this, it is distracting me from his excellent content and delivery.

@@gabrielbourke1194 This is a man that has been talking down his country for decades, even recently suggesting that our oil revenue was undeserved and should be donated. He is a complete and utter scumbag.

What is happened in the last say 25 years is that this process of change development has as it were shifted to a higher gear. We noe live through the acceleration. Changing are taking place faster. He is saying. But. What really happened is that he him self is slowing down. Real life is in the age between 12 and 26 year. His life was 40 years ago. His life now is only a reflection of his values and revelations from the time he was this young. His brain has closed the ability to take in the Zeitgeist. He is out of date. How can he live with a Zeitgeist who is 40 years old. But it ok to live on your memories. Humans ability to breath in the world has not left us in a society that moves to fast. Its only him who got older. And the more older his Zeitgeist gets he will be less able to correlate it with present time. Ask a 20 year old if he know what Beatles is. How can you give them directions. This is a greek tragedy. Alt var bedre før.
