'We are rescuing criminals here' - Govt to save illegal miners stuck in NW shaft

A plan has been set in motion to rescue hundreds, if not thousands, of illegal miners at an abandoned shaft in Stilfontein in the North West. The plan comes after local government roped in mining experts and community leaders to find a solution to an impasse between law enforcement and zama zamas underground at the old Buffelsfontein mine.

They are not trapped! While there may be many who have been forced even "kidnapped" by syndicate/s, there are others that went underground willingly, committing a crime. Apparently there is a good chance that they are heavily armed, which will put any rescuers at great risk!😮

The SANCO dude is wanting answers on how these lives will be saved but he ended up correcting himself by saying illegal miners first, then immediately after saying miners. Stop trying to act like you give a $hit. The SAPS guy said it like it is. We are rescuing criminals, there's no better way of saying it. It's only an emergency to those who are benefiting from the illegal activities taking place. Let's not forget about how the one home had a mineshaft running from a bedroom in the house. Don't piss on our backs and tell us it's raining. We know what's happening so, SAPS take your time, there's no pressure from the general public who doesn't have a vested interest.
