I am very centralist, grew up on the right, and the reason I didn't like the 2024 GOP campaign is the man himself (for personal reasons, don't like political figures that openly make fun of disabled people) and some of the new cabinet. Saying that, both sides suck, and I wish both sides would just shut up about "we won" or "you cheated." This is both 2020 and 2024. About the LGBTQ suicides mentioned, I have friends who are LGBTQ who have committed suicide from the election, and some people on the extreme right (I don't mean republicans in general, specifically the vocal few) who say more should. DIWD, I respect your opinion, even as someone who is trying to get into the FAA. I do have concerns about the DOGE stuff, but I doubt what some think P2025 will be will happen. I consider myself close to what Joe Rogan referred to as "politically homeless". I have opinions that lean one way or the other. But my ultimate thought on this entire election is that I can't believe Texas re-elected Ted Cruz. That to me is a much larger deal than Trump as President. I'm not pro either presidential candidate, but as a father of a child requiring special education, and a daughter in a red state - I am concerned for the next 4-8 years of their future. I enjoy my cheap gas, and I don't enjoy seeing all my taxes go to other countries. But I do not understand why people go without healthcare in this country, and why someone like Ted Cruz will do anything he can to stop all purposes of abortion. It's like you said, I hope it goes well no matter who won.

Personally I think Ted Cruz is kind of a weenie. I understand he's a Republican at heart, but him bowing down to trump even after he called his wife ugly was hard for me to swallow. That, and how he was on vacation during the hurricane, really never sat well with me. Believe it or not, I know a good bit about adults and children who require special education and care. Laura is a social worker, and it's what she does specifically. I think the thing that really sucks is that, while there are amazing programs to help with adults and children with special needs get the care they deserve ... You have to do a lot of research to even find out what the program as in the first place.

I'm with you 100% on Ted Cruz. Guy makes 10 ply toilet paper look tough. My wife and I put a lot of work into finding a school that would support my son. He has speech apraxia. The disorder is so rare in fact, I get most speech therapists asking me what it is. We came to Texas because we were broke in Seattle and the cost of living was slightly less down here, along with Texas having a better special education program. Now that he has made leaps and bounds here, I can comfortably say I would anticipate him doing just fine in a standard education curriculum. The Seattle area has some fantastic schools when you are looking for standard/advanced curriculums. So while I may not love their stance on some issues, at least I don't have to worry about the potentials of losing my daughter to the state of healthcare down here. Love your stuff Dan. Watched you for years. I didn't vote for Trump, but that doesn't mean I don't agree with some of his policies. And it doesn't mean I don't fw you either. Hit a mfer up if you come to Dallas. I'm sure I'll be here for another year before I can bite the bullet on 5$ gas again in Seattle.
