Ghosts of Roman soldiers are often seen near the park plus one of the oldest pubs in England is near the park . Plus I surprised you didn’t visit the Roman ruins and Roman museum maybe another time . One year it was so cold people were ice skating on the small lake on the park . Sorry to rattle on again but I’m so fond of St Albans and there’s so much more to see . Your fish and chips looked delicious 😋

Brilliant absolutely brilliant what a lovely place. Loved Jonathan he was like a dackered down Benji not that he could ever replace him but did a good job of being your sidekick in his absence. We loved this one, O.M.G. What a shame that Jonathan did not take you to my pub, which is next door to Godfrey's in Harpenden, the Cross Keys. It's a wonderful old building, probably 1500's and also allegedly haunted - although I lived there for some years and never experienced anything ghostly at all.

I often go there it’s not far from Dunstable . Lovely town the market is amazing plus the Verelulem park which is lovely . The cathedral is lovely plus all the old streets around it . Glad you enjoyed it .

Fantastic video. We lived in St Albans for over 30 years but when my husband died, I moved to Leighton Buzzard in Bedfordshire to be nearer to my girls and grandsons. We are all very happy here too. I lived in St Albans 1958/59 for just a couple of years. They were excavating the Roman ruins behind the High Street, and I remember the animal market being held. I remember going in that W H Smiths to buy my books. Thanks for the memories 😢😅

When i make my own mushy peas, after they are cooked i always add salt, non brewed condiment, black pepper and a bit of sugar. They are easy enough to make
