Mistranslations: 1:13 He's saying he started out as an analyst, not that he's still in the private sector. 2:04 "Fiscal" and monetary policies, not financial. 3:52 He's discussing expansionary fiscal stimulus here. "Printing money" is a type of monetary policy. They're related but different mechanisms. 9:27 TOTAL US household consumption as a percentage of GDP is 70% for the US vs. 48% for Korea, NOT just for services. 26:18 Confusing phrasing. He's saying the Korean government is using the threat of punitive tax rates to ensure compliance from the recipient firms of conditional financing. 30:52 He's not an analyst. He still wakes up at 4AM as a holdover from the time he used to be one.

Love Asian Boss, they not only bring up social issues but also try to educate us on other technical areas. I know somethings abt the economy but expert's explanations got me a quick and clear look. Where would we can get such open and thorough talks with experts like this?the media cant give us this bc of its formality. This section is extremely helpful for govs, businesses or ppl who might want to take st out of it. The Asian Boss is really stepping up their game that they can access ppl like this to give ppl information. On UBI I think there's risk and burden to it. I think most would be neither more lazy nor more motivated to work, they would just work the same and add it to their spendings or savings. It would create a burden for govs, or otherwise the rich would get taxed more for this UBI? I think govs should consider only giving this to those who are in low situation and really need it to bring themselves or their families up

Times will be hard and things may never be the same. Multiple businesses have shut down permanently and economic structures around the world have changed. Still, we need to adapt, persevere and work together; things will definitely get better as days go by.

I love Asian Boss. Great interview here. Side note, Finland did or is still doing a BI experiment as well. I’ll have to research if the results have been posted or analyzed yet.

Actually it depends though, the amount of loss, Usa has gone through, I think it'll take around 5 years for Usa to recover.

@@sb8095 "take around 5 years for Usa to recover." Highly doubt it. By next year, US is going to look great...if Trump is reelected. Look deeper into it.

Thank you for having this vid! Truly eye-opening and explains a lot about the moves/ decision made by the government, even here in Indonesia. I see that our gov't also adapted some policies that are being applied in Japan and Korea by injecting money to households and SME to stimulate the economy. Really helps me to understand the situation and do my part to the best that i could.
