Totally agree with the take on people saying "this isn't what we wanted" being selfish. Blizzard has literally given us official hardcore with an additional SF mode now and SOD, on top of all of the other classic expansions that have come in the past. The only people that I could see being somewhat upset are retail PvPers, but they literally just did a big tuning patch for PvP as well. Coming from a mainly retail PvEer, the complaints seem to be coming from classic players mainly; I love classic, I play all of it, but man, these guys are almost impossible to please sometimes.

A large part of retail players only play retail and consider any deviation from what they consider core wow bad. Xaryu tends to have a more positive community but go and check the comments on Pika's video. It's a den of upset fossils.

I think this is getting more hate than it deserves. How DARE Blizzard do anything different! The game mode isn't perfect but it's definitely fun and literally the most different thing we've seen out of Blizzard. At this point in WoW's lifespan fun needs to be the priority not tradition. I play Classic for tradition.

I'm glad they're trying anything at all but this shit is horrible lol. if I wanted to play a mechanically challenging game with skillshots I would go play league. if I wanted to play a well designed br game I would play apex. (rest in piss spellbreak) not this old game designed around tab targetting.. its a personal thing ofc but I just feel the game engine is too old for this. theres much better games out there that do similar things.

I really hope they add a version of this with classes. It feels off to me not having classes. You can still have to loot spells, but have the spell drops be different spells for different classes. Also, they need to add mounts and fix the wonky mobility. Maybe even add a base line spring ability.
