Back in 1995. I was 17. I had the car i still have today. 1985 fox. My dad had an iroc and my brother had a montie ss. We all would race people. All the cars had mods but nothing over 300 and we thought that was fast. Today my Camry would give my fox a run for my money 😂

Oh I remember converting my old ‘87 LX over to mass air back in the early 90’s. Got everything from Pro-M when they were in Warren, MI. Did that pretty much right after doing full exhaust and no engine mods. It certainly paved the way for the HCI and Vortech that I eventually added. But no tune back then it was still just FMU and playing with fuel pressure/timing. Old school s#!t

Yup, 500 whp is very achievable with a stock block for sure, I have one currently with boost of course. Even a NA stroker build 331 can achieve 500 flywheel hp all fuel injected with A9P ecm
@Neomustangs2 ай бұрын
Most I ever seen a 331/347 NA make hydro roller was like 375 wheel tops
@williamlane63742 ай бұрын
@Neomustangs definitely not hydraulic roller and not streetable but achievable with lots of time, making motor so loose you can turn crank almost by hand

My father inlaw used to work the engineering at Comp Cams with the old Scooter Brothers and race.. he has some really alsome combose that really work well. Old school secret dude, lol. About to have him build me a boosted 363. Old fat boy cougar would benefit better with extra cubes and stop the one wheel peal, lol. Still working on the old 91 LX lentech auto
@stevep6792Ай бұрын
@@Neomustangs for most builds 331/347s yes but my 331 makes 491 to the tires, 12.5-1 compression solid roller motor, custom grind comp cam, turns 8200 on a dss block, atibalancer, 0 balanced eagle forged rotating assembly with je forged pistons,worked 165 pro comp heads, full comp valve train with the rocker gurdlers and main gurdles to keep it together when it goes lmao! But she’s still up an runnin since 2018, was on e85 just switched it to vp110 and still a stick car on a tko600, fun car. 2891 with me in it. Fun street car, just the maintenance with that .696 lift cam, having to change out valve springs every season. An go through and constantly be checking valve lash, but other then that. With the Holley 750dp an supervictor just seems to be a great solid combo that just works. like the guy who tuned the car when he pulled it off the roller said, you don’t see many at all 331s making this power, he said it’s on borrowed time but it’s been 6yrs and she’s still runnin great. Looking to get a dart iron eagle block for myself for Xmas and swap everything over the winter and get some afr220 heads a swap to efi temi x use the super vic get the injector bosses welded in get my cg fab turbo kit on and turn that sucker up.!! An see if i can get into the quad digits on a 331. Not sure if anyone’s really done it but If it blows it blows, but as long as it don’t window the block it will be a 363 next time around and definitely will make the power forsure an be somewhat more reliable, atleast more then it is now! Love the channel Neo been a follower for many years, i have this same setup on 1 of my other foxes just a bone stock gt40 long block with an on3 kit and a mega squirt 2 and puts down 401 on the 10lbs out of a t5. Keep this great content coming! An updated on your white gt! Love that setup. that’s what im shooting for with my og fox.

Thinking about using the terminator X kit in a trick flow HCI set up for drivability. 88 foxbody 302 stock bottom end. Just the little .510 lift cam right now. Will switch to a 1500-6500 rpm cam over the winter. Do you recommend this set up or go carb? 5-speed car. Just for street and a little bracket racing with pops. Thank you and I enjoy all the good content you do.

I'm planning on building up mine for next race season but trying to figure out what to do for tuning capabilities. I'm going to talk to my local dyno shop and see what they mess with but what would you recommend. I have a lot of capabilities myself and have been racing/ wrenching for 20+ years.

Will there be any Crane Interceptor classes on this channel? 🤣 Everyone can laugh, but my stock ported head stock block ball drive Paxton with 125hp nitrous on E85 setup ran really well back in the day! My car ran around great with that Interceptor for years, finally sold the whole combo and installed a big motor. Now wondering can you put a blower on a SCAT 3.85 cast crank?
