Chet, before putting the stumps in the brush/ burn pile. Drop them a few times from 10’-15’. Will knock a lot of the dirt off. NOT telling you what to do. Just an suggestion. Hope the New Year keeps all safe and well.

I move construction equipment for a living. A tip when loading and unloading equipment when frosty or snow on things. Keep a couple buckets of clean rock with you to put on ramps, trailer and road. We use 3/8" clean rock chips. Works well!

I love the 2 tracks. They are simple tractors that I can work on myself. What sold me was a big operator who has 30 of them, and the lowest hour one in the fleet had 20k hrs on it. They rebuild them to the point of being basically a remanufactured unit every 10k.

I’m not telling you guys how to do your job you all obviously are great at it. However, as a dirt mover and a tree brush mitigation guy, I’ve found the best way to get the bigger logs and stumps to burn down is to dig a fairly deep hole 5-10ft deep, get the root balls REALLY cleaned out stack the logs in tight together in the bottoms of the brush pile. The. Throw the rest of the clean brush on top of them…the best you can. That’s the best technique I’ve found to get brush burned down good. Cheers boys

You know Chet...Deere has cab kits you can order to update/refresh many tractor interiors, like Nathan Baker of Border View Farms just did to one of their still good 🚜...made look almost new! I'm sure since Big Swede is on "lite duty" for a short spell, deinstalling then updating a tractor interior would be right up his alley, but still within doctors orders?!? Did Toby get a new chew wabbit for Christmas? Good work on the land improvement! And no...don't melt Dougo's excavator! That would be almost as bad as the struggle bus having a flipover...just sayin'...Happy 2023 to the Larson Farms crew...and Thank ya'll for farmin', fixin, and feedin' ...🇺🇸...! DOUGO 2024!!

Keepum on their toes Chet. 4,000 hours is just getting broke in, well except for the tracks. You guys have a lot of experience with Deere tracks, some good, some not so good. If you take some Power Service or Lucas fuel treatment and a small pump, pour the Power Service Diesel Kleen into the tank, and recirculate the fuel for an hour of so. You can do the same thing at the fuel filters to flush the old fuel out and treated fuel in. Anything you need to leave outside, if you wrap the fuel filters with plumbing heater tape and set it on a timer, it does a good job of keeping the fuel from gelling.
