Hello Tracey and Budo greetings from Melbourne. When i first purchased the house i forgot to shut the attic window and the barn door and ended up having 2 pairs of very vocal swallows move in. The swallows won and enjoyed being in residence for the whole of the breeding season and i had so many different species join me while i worked on the garden, some would be behind me as i worked the earth nipping at the bugs and insects. As my parrots are coming with me i am eager to experiment with growing some seed for them. I have native pigeons in residence where i live, they are huge and look like football's on legs. My most beautiful day in the garden was sitting out having my lunch when a tiny bright red robin joined me and sang their heart out for a few crumbs, magical. Glad to see the kitchen coming along, but shame about the blasted rain. Goats to clean up around the place, excellent idea and you could make houses for them and the chickens to tow around on skids for the tractor. Will look at your masks as well. Getting closer to home. Cheers and have a great week.😊❤

Purchase an old bar mower and side delivery and baler and you are all set to make your own hay and after you do that, you can decide yourself what is best without banking on another is always the best for you to manage. If you can manage on your own, you have the freedom to decide.

Willow makes a fantastic hedge. Maybe at some point make a curved arch canopy is so beautiful on a hot day to sit under. They do like to be cut back each year and the cuttings can be sold for basket and brooms.

Try putting a wee tent of horticultural fleece over the buckets of tatties and that should stop the blight spores from hitting your plants. Here in my county, which grows most of UK’s seed tatties, whole fields are covered in it.

Bonjour Tracy and Budo, your wildflowers are so beautiful, I just love them, they certainly show the love you put into them as well. The kitchen is going to be so beautiful when it's finished. I hope you can film your first meal you cook in it. The stone wall for your gateway is definitely backbreaking, but so worth it, I am happy you had your friends from Holland were there to lend a hand. The goats are a great idea, they will certainly help with the willow and the grass. Thank you for the beautiful views of your land. Love from N.Y.

Just a note to keep in mind. You do not loose subscribers because people don’t like you taking a break etc. KZbin actually unsubscribes folks at regular intervals. It’s highly annoying !
