We just bought our first house in Croatia and since we're so excited about it, I wanted to do a quick video tour of the place and show you all what it looks like. Stay tuned for more videos on this property as we renovate it and turn it into our dream home. Thanks for watching!

Nice foundation to build on. Welcome to Croatia. Seems to me there's an increasing number of foreigners coming to live in Croatia (as well as Croat returnees) . Europe's undiscovered suburb :D. Well it's going to be interesting to see your progress and how things develop.

50% of Croatia is Serbian Republic of Krajina which means houses in these areas are owned by Serbs. There were cases of people returning back to their homes after the war ended only to find strangers living in them.

@@northernstar4811 Sorry but how is this fantasy? I personally know someone who went back to their place after the war and found a stranger living there. The Serbian Krajina was mainly populated by Serbs which means they own the houses and they built them. It's not fantasy. I'm sure this couple will have a chance to drive around and get to know the area in more detail. What's fantasy is you thinking someone else ownes the houses apart from Serbs. Half of current Croatia is Serb Krajina territory. If you don't believe it then you believe in fantasies.

@@DT-mw3ge What is so funny? Nikola Tesla was from the semi automous Kingdom of Croatia, Slavonia and Dalmatia and was a citizen of the Kingdom of Croatia, Slavonia and Dalmatia and had a passport from Kingdom of Croatia, Slavonia and Dalmatia that was issued out of Zagreb. He was proud of his Croatian homeland and of his Serbian ANCESTRY …Ancestry is not the same as nationality….besides If you really knew anything about him you would know that he claimed Croatian ethnicity on both siđes of his family tree. Nikola Tesla had nothing to do with Serbia…he wasnt Born there, never lived there, never went to school there , nothing …Serbia contributed nothing to Nikola Tesla’s life. Be Happy that Nikola Tesla was from Croatia and was able to attend good Austrian structured schools in Croatia. If He would have been Born in turkish comtrolled Serbia He would have probably studying the kuran.

@@Centraleuropebusiness Keep telling yourself that. Tesla had nothing to do with Croatia, he identified himself as Serbian and even the song played at his funeral was Serbian song Tamo Daleko. Croats Ustase killed his family, destroyed his home and destroyed the church in his village called Smiljan. His father was a Serbian Orthodoh Church Priest and his mother was a teacher. Years after all the crimes your ancestors commited against him and his family you claim that he is Croatian, it's unbeliveable really. He was not proud of some Croatian homeland as you say and nor am I. Stop explaining ancestry and nationality to me. I am a Serb and I come from not far away from Tesla's village. Stop telling lies. We are Serbs and you should respect Tesla's background. You steal everything from Serbs, the land, the history etc as you don't have your own.

I can believe this arguments continue - how pathetic. My Dalmatian cousins 40 years ago sang that song you know say is Serbian. Nobody cared what it was back then. It’s people that create wars over nothing that torture the rest of humanity that wants to live in peace.

@daniellebene
@daniellebene 7 ай бұрын
@@pepe.sanchez it was done for me over the course of a year. That was moreso procrastinating and once the application was submitted in June I received confirmation of citizenship in March of the following year. I then had to get my domovnica before getting my passport and that took a few extra months. It seems overbearing at first, but the process gets going fairly quickly once you get the info you need together.

@@Dusan.Grujic Regionality really does change the architecture, availability of utilities etc. For example u in north-east most towns/villages are made on a single flat straight road which means its much easier to get electricity, internet and all that. But down south where houses might be more separate the municipality might be less inclined to do major constructions (sewage, gas) for just one or two houses Edit: I'd also dd that regionality comes in with different weather stuff, and biodiversity. For example down south there's a far higher population of venomous snakes and so on. And if you'd potentially want to ask for some housing advice from locals here the climate is radically different so advice may vary
