@@1stCallipostle by "viable" you mean 90% of maches are desided by if you got maxx"c"'d without ash or called by, you just have to pass turn and get otk'd or keep going and lose to a 30 card hand. Bro at that point you didn't lose to a player or deck, you lost to maxx"c" alone. that kind of card isnt good for the format in any way. and if you like that kind of card design, we need a card that says "if your opponent has activated maxx"c" this turn; you win the duel" and call it fair counterplay thats the same kind of card design as maxx"c"

In the OCG, I believe that Victory Dragon Tearlaments was one of the strongest decks in no banlist. I'm not sure exactly what the OCG's rules on scooping (to Victory Dragon) was, but I heard that either you're only allowed to scoop on your turn or your opponent must accept your forfeit for it to count?

Look into the OCG no banlist tournaments. It's all Tearlaments and Victory Dragonlink. The reason Victory Dragon is used in the OCG is because the surrender rules are different and require both players to approve. If you're going to win a match with only one game, you're not going to accept a surrender.

And yes, he could potentially get more draw spells but at least he took all three Pots of Greed out of his deck, so the chance of drawing one of the remaining draw spells is somewhat lower. 5:02 "Whereas with Soul Charge, if he doesn't have anything... it's kind of a bad card." Why do you think he searched for Soul Charge in the first place rather than something else? If he really just wanted card draw, he could've searched for three Pot of Greed and two Graceful Charity, but he chose not to. Presumably he does have something that makes Soul Charge useful.

My no banlist decklist for funzies/solitare/proving why there needs to be a banlist: 1 of each exodia piece 2 Royal Magical Library 3 Pot of Greed 3 Graceful Charity 3 Upstart Goblin 3 Into the Void 3 One Day of Peace 3 Golden Bamboo Sword 2 Pot of Duality 3 Painful Choice 1 Broken Bamboo Sword 3 Cursed Bamboo Sword 3 Chicken Game 1 Pseudo Space 2 Terraforming 17 cards replace themselves, 18 go even or generate advantage, 5 bricks, 1 fun solitaire deck If you want truly broken/to prove errata necessity, do the same list but change out: - 5 exodia pieces - 1 Royal Magical Library + 3 Makyura the Destructor (pre errata) + 1 Exchange of the Spirit (pre errata) + 1 Reckless Greed + 1 Soul Release - to remove hand traps from opponents grave or as last ditch at going 2nd if they don't put too much in grave More consistent but you need to go first for it to work. Can go 2nd with exodia vs a couple negates. Lose hard to droll though lol
