We built a boring gravel road and changed Berm Peak forever!
Today, we’ll build a gravel road at the very bottom of Berm Peak, so that we can use the driveway to climb back up to the top. For the first time, we’ll be able to ride all the way to the bottom of the trail system, and climb back up all on a mountain bike. Here to help us today are Kevin, James, and Alexander.

Working as a welders helper theres been tons of occasions ive used sky traks, loaders (really small to so big that they have their own air conditioning and radio). A lot of the time youll get some idiot who applies as a machine operator even though he has no real experience and is just too lazy to get out of the loader and work. I remember one time about 5 years ago i was on a job in the middle of summer(hot as fuck and we were working in trenches with acetelene torches and propane torches so it was hot as shit) welding new hot and cold water lines that went around and old private school is Dallas. Near the end of the job most of the guys that werent needed anymore (read as lazy and didnt pull their weight) were let go and a few of the guys and myself stayed to finish up for a few weeks. There was one guy that the foreman wanted to lay off but for some reason he couldnt or wouldnt. His name was something like deshawn or de something, maybe rick.....lets go with deshawn for the purpose of telling the story. He was in his late 30s but acted like a irresponsible 20 year old. Anyways, one day we were all busy welding the last few lines and needed dirt from around the front of the project about a 1/4 mile away to cover up what we had already finished. So this Deshawn guy is delivering dirt going in a out of the trench way too fast like hes a "badass" with his headphones in. About half way through the day when the foreman shows up hes exiting the trench too fast like always and not at a good angle obviously without any sense and he completely flipped the whole loader backwards. Now lets get something straight its not uncommon to have a small loader fall sideways a little bit and get stuck, we just get the skytrak and put it back up right. But this was something special lol, when that guy rolled backwards back into the trench it was one of the funniest things ive ever seen. Mr badass bounching around inside that loader like he was at a theme park. When the loader finally settled everything inside it was on the ground and we had to grab the guy and pull him out he was so shook up. Best part was the foreman was sitting there watching him acting like a jackass so it was obviously his fault. Anyways....just couldnt help but think of that. I also saw a guy fall through a skylight 30-35 feet onto a concrete floor (into the warehouse i was working in, he was part of the roofing crew fixing the roof cause wed recently had 2 hailstorms back to back). But sadly he was a good guy with a family, a hard worker , respectful to everyone he worked with etc. and it was just shit luck. He was walking backwards and tripped over a pole or something, i think it was the squigy type thing they use to level out the tar. A few hours before he fell i moved a massive slab of marble that was on top of a sink display (it was a plumbing warehouse). The display had holes for three sinks in it and if i hadnt moved it that morning he would have fallen half on the marble slab and flipped around onto the concrete(that marble display was right under the skylight but to the side just enought that it would have just made things worse. It looked real bad but he was out of the hospital in about a week. I had to clean up all the blood with bleech, hed broken his colar bone and his arm or leg i cant remember which one. But the blood was actually from him hitting his head. .....Alright im done.

Wesley Alth you most likely live in a somewhat densely populated area and with this whole quarantine thing many people have been going outside for bike rides and walks. His town seemed smaller than other towns so I guess most people already have bikes or something like that.

Our local shop here in my Colorado city was only open for repairs. They weren't allowed to sale merchandise. Slowly the restrictions have started to lift, but there was a good month maybe even 5 weeks, where it was repair only.

@@Lost_9o1 I'm thinking you're right, I live in the suburbs right outside NYC in New Jersey and bike shops are the basically the only stores allowed to be open and are all busy. People are buying bikes like crazy, even in germany and online. A friend of mine was looking for a new bike and they are all sold out, with waiting times of like 8 weeks. On a local trail where I usually see like 3 people, last week I saw about 30 and all of them men in their mid 50s on shiny new bikes with 0 idea what they are doing lol. I'll stick with the more challenging trails for now because they're as empty as ever
