I think the reason they avoided having the camera in focus for the video is because it serves the emotions of the song. It's about losing someone close to you and the feelings that come along with that. Things would be blurry, confusing, you'd be unable to focus on details and things that you see in front of you, and I believe from an emotional standpoint that's the reason they did that. Also, the first Architects riff I thought of, just based on the sound was Doomsday. It has a similar structure but not as much of the 'escalation'. Love you guys, always enjoy your content and being introduced to new music with your great commentary and banter alongside it :)

The blur, I believe, is done to represent the blur of trying to see through tears, and the blur of life in mourning, and the constant reminder that Kyle is gone. And no matter how good life is, you’re always mourning that loss.

Man the songs about Kyle just hit different man. So fuckin good

If this is about Kyle’s death (I think it is), it just makes the entire situation even more heartbreaking. Kyle would be so proud of WCAR.

I'm sure heaps of people have said this already, but the boys in WCAR typically do not focus on themselves in film clips when the songs are about the late clean vocalist Kyle. It's their way of not taking the stage that usually would have been for him were he still here. Hurts man. Been a fan of WCAR since their first album way back, I'd say one of the more impactful deaths of an artist in my life. The most impactful being Chester of Linkin Park, as LP was my first band and I still have my first album I bought with my dad when Hybrid Theory dropped when I was about 7 years old. Now I'm 28 so when Chester left us, that hurt me, still does. I was actually listening to a new album by Wage War and my dad texted me saying "they haven't confirmed it yet, but allegedly Chester B passed, the early reports are saying it's a suicide. Really sad day if it's true" because we didn't have confirmation yet. I was laying in bed on a day off(which was rare) and staring at my ceiling and just felt waves of sadness wash over me and the tears just rolled out of my eyes. RIP Chester, and Kyle miss you guys.

These types of music videos have been prominent with Sharptone records this year. Miss May I, WCAR, Currents all have this style video in the last few months

Won’t lie, I was multitasking so I didn’t see much of the clip, but loved the song. Looks like I need to listen to these guys more. They had some great stuff when I used to listen to them.

i was with you on the out of focus/blurry vision take at first but I assume its to have the listener also "see through tear filled eyes" just like the lyrics. That makes it all that much cooler and a really nice touch so im with it

Also good call out on the ERRA/Architects riff. I heard ERRA first but I think that’s insanely similar to Nihilist? I think it is?

Yeah I wasn’t feeling the film clip at all, it was so fast and chaotic where if they had a more slow and meaningful clip it would’ve made the song hit more emotionally I recommend you guys reacting to the song and film clip to glass hands by Crooked royals 🤙🏼

Wondering if you guys could do a reaction for the song the perfect crime by terra. It's like prog punk, female fronted and quite interesting/unique/good. If not still worth a listen guys.

“Nathan Smith” Funny because WCAR and Caskets are signed to SharpTone. In all seriousness and I might be wrong for that opinion, both bands were influenced by Linkin Park
