Really, it's pretty simple, a variety of legumes, greens, grains, fruits, veggies, mushrooms, nuts, seeds, herbs and spices. Just like for adults, make sure you're getting enough zinc and iodine maybe and fatty acids. No matter how you raise your kids, you're going to want to make sure you're covering all your bases. And if eating whole Vegan foods are most protective against chronic disease and all cause mortality, inappropriate for every stage of life including pregnancy, there really isn't much beyond individualized nuance that a person only to discern for themselves. And that's likely going to be between them and their physician, nutritionist, or dietitian.

It is sooooo NOT easy. Thanks so much for noticing, watching and commenting. Thank you! It's an emotional rollercoaster. I get stoked starting a run, depressed at the end of the day doing it alone, excited about tomorrow, depressed coming back home to a city where there's no other vegans, excited to start editing, drained editing all day long alone, happy to render and upload another video, angry dealing with people stealing my content, ecstatic when people leave positive comments, depressed that so many still don't get it and moderating haters in the comments, happy again when someone asks me to come to their event, depressed when someone may not want me at their event or isn't accommodating, long days, dark weeks, year after year, at times I feel like I'm just this machine that isn't suppose to have a heart, like I'm broken because I shouldn't care. The people around me in this town don't care, they don't want me to care, so I do what I can to keep busy, try and be a machine, try and make this world a better place for my granddaughter who was born in May this year and I wish I could see her more but they're in another town with the other side of a family who hunts and seems to hate vegans, it's dark man, all I can do is try and bring light to this dark world. And the last two weeks I've been trying to deal with an anti-vegan channel that was exploiting my content, countered copyright strikes, I had spent the entire last two weeks figuring out how to take legal action to protect my content, they start a fundraiser and are now making thousands in donations from their anti-vegan hate content at my expense, it's f***ing hell man. This work is my ikigai though, my passion project. I'm doing all I can to be healthier, stronger, not alone, care for my family, not get too derailed from the haters, save up and hopefully one day by some land, start a food forest and/or gardens, and make a little retreat to settle down into a place where people can come hang with me so I don't have to travel all over, offer a place to learn, a community to not feel so alone, teach others how to live this way, do interviews and talks in one location, and CHILL. Make music, hike, relax, star gaze, enjoy good food and company and finally live the way I really want to. :) the dreams keep me going! I still have more interviews and more presentations to capture though. The next theme of interviews will be the last before i transition into the little retreat I would like to make. I may try to do a documentary too before I try to pull off a little retreat. Those next interviews I have mostly already shot, showing the world how to best raise their children this way. That will be the final phase of this kind of work I'm doing and make the biggest impact on the premise of all I've already shot. Ok, tangent is over :)

Ive read your reply, sir. Of course life is hard and challenging. About internet and communication via internet, as Joe Rogan once said: "when i post something, i put my phone down and walk away". He was discussing this topic with Neil Tyson regarding inernet trolls and negativity in the comments. Like some football star replied to his online troll and that put his career at risk even. I understand that feedback may be important.But its a lot of trolls, negative people or just dumb or altogether. My point is you did your best, recorded something great and you know its great and informative. Positive feedback is great, but there is always some troll, carnivore or negative person to say something to bring your work down. Its inevitable on the internet, completely inevitable. I myself rarely if ever read replies to my own comments, unless its from the channel author himself. All im saying is youre doing great but any kind of feedback should not affect you at all. Maybe Its best to ignore all comments for a while or just block someone negative straight away and not entertain any kind of convention with them firther. It should bring more Zen and chill vibes. Youre too kind and these trolls that try to get you dont even deserve your reply to them sir. Like Joe Rogan said "i post something, put the phone down and walk away" You did your best, every troll reaction to your work is out of your control, better yet, their reaction should not be seen at all. I appreciate your channel and i wish you luck, @@VeganLinked

Yeah, I'm getting better at that. I definitely wasted way too much time in the comment in the past. You're so right tho and that's a cool way of putting it; post, put your phone down and walk away, I love that! Really the trolls only get to me when I'm vulnerable. In the past I definitely have wasted way too many days on them. I like to help those who are genuinely inquisitive. So I try to keep an eye out for those who may be and may actually need help. Sometimes I use troll comments as a way to express a more informative response for onlookers. If they are repeat offenders, because I can see what other comments they've made, I just hide them right away. But trolls alone are just a minor challenge on a pile of many other challenges doing this alone. I happened to come back to your comment just now because I wanted to share it with someone after watching a glimpse of The diary of a CEO KZbinr. I stumbled on a video of his showing all that goes on behind one of his productions. He's got a team and a studio to work from instead of traveling all around doing it solo. It made me think about your comment so I came back to share it and realized you responded 🙂 I wish I had a team! Or a community or something more than just me... But it's all good, I'm muscling through! Thanks again 🙂 @@Dorsia_7pm

I am not aware that the most long-lived group in USA, the adventist who are vegan, have been plagued with dementia at all. is he sure that that dementia in those patients is caused for not taking EPA and DHA? Same with b12, donald watson never took b12 supplements and lived till 95 with no dementia or any other problem. Same for regular people (at least born before compulsory vaccinations), who mostly don't like and don't eat any fish. I agree that supplements can be useful if your diet is not the best, for example not eating enough greens because they are expensive in many places, but I don't find good reasons based on data for wich we must supplement on something more than omnivores.
@VeganLinked
@VeganLinked 23 күн бұрын
@@anonimogonzalezperez4951 first off, a well-plan vegan diet reduces your risk for chronic disease and I'll cause mortality compared to an omnivorous diet. But nothing is a panacea. So living longer just means you might have some other risks down the line. And this might be a genetic predisposition or based on epigenetic behavior throughout your life. So if a vegan has to supplement it doesn't really matter if in the end they are doing better either way and supplementing is just going to take it to another level. And supplementing isn't that big of a deal. Appealing to nature is just a fallacy. We do all kinds of things that are not natural that augment our health span and lifespan. So it's really a moot point. I don't recall him saying that the Adventists Vegans are plagued with dementia. Did he say that here? Or are you referring to something somewhere else? Personally I don't like him referencing his previous clients because it's very anecdotally n of one not scientific. I am having another interview with him now so I hope to kind of delve into this a little more with him then. I would have here but for the sake of time and a variety of other reasons I didn't.

Not sure what studies and science he is referring to about nuts. They are very high fat high protein most of them. As a low fat vegan I stay away from them. @@apotisapot variety is very simple and key to eating this way. Legumes such as black beans, navy beans, soybeans, etc I mean people are probably already doing this. Greens is especially important because some greens are higher in oxalates so again variety helps you prevent any issues there and get a nice mix of nutrients. So it's just 10 categories. Legumes, greens, grains, fruits, veggies, mushrooms, nuts, seeds, herbs and spices and a variety of each. It's not like an aspiring vegan needs to be perfect day one. We're just giving them something to shoot for. Nobody is expecting perfection out of a noob. When I went vegan all I did was just stop eating animals and eat more of everything else I was already eating. But I already had a predilection for beans and grains etc. Just saying eat a lot of starches is kooky. You're neglecting many of the most important, healthy foods on the planet. Perhaps you should play with the cronometer for a little bit. Or just use Dr Greger's daily dozen ap. I say it's kooky because it sounds like you're coming from the veg source crowd who over extrapolated from the likes of Dr McDougall and Dr Esselstyn. You should see how Esselstyn is being challenged these days.

@@apotisapot Nuts have been extensively studied for their health benefits, particularly in reducing the risk of chronic diseases and all-cause mortality. Here is a summary of the evidence from systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and prospective cohort studies: 1. **Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis of Nut Consumption and Risk of Chronic Diseases and Mortality (BMC Medicine, 2023)**: - This review analyzed data from 29 prospective studies to assess the impact of nut consumption on cardiovascular disease (CVD), cancer, and mortality. The meta-analysis found that higher nut consumption was associated with a reduced risk of CVD, total cancer, and all-cause mortality. The study also reported a dose-response relationship, where each additional serving of nuts (28g) per day was linked to a further reduction in risk. This suggests that even small increases in nut intake could have significant health benefits. 2. **Systematic Review on Nuts and Cardiovascular Disease (British Journal of Nutrition, 2023)**: - This review focused on the impact of nut consumption on cardiovascular outcomes and mortality. It concluded that higher nut intake was inversely associated with all-cause mortality, total cardiovascular disease (CVD), and coronary heart disease (CHD). However, the review noted the need for more data to assess the effects of different types of nuts (e.g., tree nuts vs. peanuts) and to explore these associations in diverse populations beyond North America and Europe. 3. **Quality of Evidence on Foods and Nutrients with CVD and Diabetes (JAMA Network Open, 2023)**: - This review assessed the strength of evidence linking various foods, including nuts, to CVD and diabetes outcomes. Nuts were found to have a moderate-to-strong inverse association with CVD, with higher consumption linked to lower risk. This review emphasized the need for high-quality studies to further explore the causal relationship between nut intake and these outcomes. 4. **Nut Consumption and Specific Health Outcomes (Critical Reviews in Food Science and Nutrition, 2019)**: - A dose-response meta-analysis highlighted that higher nut consumption is associated with a lower risk of coronary heart disease, stroke, and heart failure. This analysis underscored that increasing nut intake could be an effective dietary strategy for reducing cardiovascular risk. These studies collectively support the conclusion that regular nut consumption is beneficial for reducing the risk of chronic diseases, particularly cardiovascular diseases, and may contribute to lower all-cause mortality. The evidence is particularly strong for the protective effects against heart disease and suggests that nuts should be considered an important component of a healthy diet. However, further research is needed to clarify the effects of specific types of nuts and to confirm these findings in diverse populations.

The study found that optimal intake of legumes significantly lowers the risk of these diseases. 2. **Legume Consumption and CVD Risk:** Another systematic review emphasized the lipid-lowering effects of legumes, which contribute to reduced CVD risk. The high fiber content and presence of beneficial compounds like polyphenols were highlighted as key factors. 3. **Substitution Studies:** A systematic review examined the substitution of animal-based foods with legumes, showing a marked decrease in cardiometabolic risks and all-cause mortality. This substitution was particularly beneficial in reducing the risk of type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. 4. **Prospective Cohort Studies:** Various cohort studies included in these reviews confirmed that regular legume consumption is linked with lower mortality rates and reduced incidence of major chronic diseases, particularly cardiovascular conditions.
