The fact you are filming is public as people can see you are filming. But the reason why you are filming can remain private under article 8 of the human rights act. ANYONE who tries to stop you or interferes is infringing on your human rights. You should inform them of this. Just tell them or the police what you are doing is legal. AND PRIVATE. Also article one protocol one allows you to enjoy your possessions like your camera equipment as long as it doesn't infringe on other people's rights. Filming and filming alone isn't infringing on anyone's rights. Also article 10 allows us to gather and impart information.
@7king8debs79 Жыл бұрын
Article 8 is not absolute and by lying to people and saying he is exempt from GDPR but will upload to social media, he is restricting their rights to consent to the control of their image. They do not lose this right simply be being in a public space.

Why do intelligent people, maybe high up in their company structure, believe that buildings are private and therefore can't be photographed? It's partly down to that word.....private. Let me offer this..... 3 kinds of private..... 1. Private - as in secret/hidden - documents/buildings....pretty much anything, including thoughts obviously! Not easy to photograph, so not really applicable. 2. Private Land - land is privately owned, but can still be photographed from public land 3. Private Business - could be on public land or private land - again, can still be photographed So when workers and managers so their business is private, they are confusing at least two of the above, and neither apply to the photographer! Mass delusion/paranoia!
