It's Springtime here in Arkansas and that means that frogging season is here! We love catching big bullfrogs and eating fresh frog legs this time of year! Who else is with us??? I use red worm, red yarn orange and yellow bobber with the hook pulled up to the bobber because they will strike at the bobber. No.1 a treble hook put it right under the lip and set the hook. They did look good and the best part is when the plate is set in front of you. Good job guys🥰

When you clean them and separate the legs, look for a little white ligament close to the bone and pull that out. It will stop the jumping around when you fry them. Those looked pretty tasty!!!

Yum! Fresh frogs are the bomb! I think they taste more like fishy pork myself but who cares they're delicious! A little soak in some salt water after they're cleaned stops the jitters and jumping out of the fryer if it's a problem.

Great video! Watching this brought up a memory of a fishing trip with some friends from Louisiana. They said that they caught some bullfrogs so big that they used the front legs and, get this... they filleted the breast meat too! Now, them's some big frogs!!! Have you caught any that big? I've always caught frogs using a plastic frog lure. They are cannibals and will eat other frogs. I've filled up 5 gallon buckets full of bullfrogs using this method. You guys are great. Love you channel.

..That was a good time .. I've never kept and cooked any frog legs , what I'm usually around are not very big ,, had one on a couple years ago about the size of those on a 4" Senco,, , it was a Leopard frog , pretty cool looking ,but went back.... crazy bite.. .. I remember catching a big frog one time when I was fishing. I put a fly fishing fly on my line and dangled in front of him a few times. Eventually he grabbed it. That was probably 50 years ago. My dad wasn't much of a fisherman, so we weren't sure what to do with it and ended up turning it loose. Another entertaining video. Have a good day.

I've had good luck with simple bare, shiny hooks. Who taught me that? My Mom! Dad taught me how to gig frogs. I ate many-o-frog legs in my teenie-bopper years. Wish I had the drive and energy to go out now and do that. But I'm hitting the hay before 9pm now. I start my work day at 5:30am.

I so love fried frog legs. They look so yummy. I like the idea using a crappie jig to hook them. Have you thought about using a 12' or 16' crappie rod so you can use a shorter line? One other thought. What if you laid your rod on a stationary object to keep it from bouncing around?
