Happy to see you again. 👍 Are you using Tranx reels? If yes, do you recommand size 300 or 400? which I guesd you pairing with 80 or 100 pound braid.

Hi buddy. Neil Using Tranx 301 and I’m using 301HG. I think the 301s are easily big enough for pike fishing using 80lb braid. I seem to remember some guys who bought the 401 said it was a bit big

Thanks buddy, I finally picked the 301HG like you. Here torque is really an issue because we often encounter welcatfishes when pike fishing. I already have a Calcutta 401D which is an awesome reel too but, as you say, a little too big for some techniques, and I was looking for a complementary reel with higher gear ratio.
