Love decks like this when you try to win one way but have three other ways to do so just as cleanly!

That is how I like my combos. If it happens great but most wins will still come in other ways.

This deck is interesting, is good to finally have some new cards to brew and try to solve the meta before rotation. I'm excited to see your take of the slickshot prowess deck.

That one I'm really excited to play. I want to play izzet with it, mono red and a variety of the prowess decks. I think gruul prowess will be best.

I actually will too. Did not think that was one that would bug me so much but that value for control is hard. They have enough draw cards without the flashback.

Definitely going to build around this combo. I've already crafter the 4 bloodletters just waiting to see what the best shell for the combo is. I suspect it will be dimir. Lifegain update: Greeds Gambit can seriously make this deck pop off. I've managed to have one game where I got 10 triggers in one turn by having case, lunarch and pilgrim on the battlefield. I was losing that game so it's definitely not a win more card so far from my testing. I think 2 or 3 of is the right number. BUT the card that really makes lifegain more viable now especially on the draw against aggro is the orzhov fast untapped land. Its an obvious 4 of and completely changes the tempo of this deck and I feel like my winrate on the draw against aggro has gone up considerably. Control- still mostly losing. Early days but I think lifegain has been upgraded.

Let me know on what build you decide is best. So many ways to go at it and I really want to work on it. Friday I'm doing grixis crime and I think I can adjust that to fit the combo maybe. I'm super curious how lifegain will do this next month. It got fast lands but that was it.

The fast lands for lifegain are quite a game changer though so far at least that's what I've felt. For now I'm trying to play this combo in a mono black aggro deck that builds around bloodletter but doesn't necessarily try to hard to make the combo come off. Bloodletter is a good card in general in an aggro deck so if I get the combo it's good and if not I can win with a typical aggro strategy. I'm curious to see what the meta winrates will he with this combo once we start getting more stats. Playing it in a pure combo deck that uses draw and tutor effects to find the two pieces has not been very fruitful for me so far.

@@WhyMe432532 I agree it needs to go into a good aggro shell and often bloodletter tops the game with the aggro damage and in a pinch you have the combo.

Hey! For a brand new meta brew, this deck is ok. Maybe a little too slow and inconsistent but once it gets going, it gets going, baby! Thx ace And thx for the insights

I think the concept will get some traction and now really time to figure out what is the best shell. Too slow for the meta like you said so do we go aggro as well with the possible combo, do we go more control with the combo to finish. Time will tell.

With that mastery pass you can actually wait till you completed it and then buy it. Still get all the rewards, personally I like todo it that way

I should have said that. You're right. I like it before my first games to get the packs as I go to hopefully not need to craft something. But for most I agree if they don't play much they can then decide.
