WE CONSIDER OUR TRAVEL FUTURE TOGETHER AT THE HARROGATE SHOW

We travel North in this vlog to collect a van upgrade Dora has been yearning for, for over 2 years.... was it worth the wait?
We find a nice muddy campsite where our 5T motorhome inevitably comes off worse wear much to Riki's disgust.
The Yorkshire Motorhome & Campervan Show kicks off the first big Warners show of 2024. Held at The Great Yorkshire Showground in Harrogate, we get the chance to look around a wide range of new and used vehicles.
Unfortunately, this gives Riki some 'small' ideas about buying a caravan!!

Tractor convoy happens every year which started in Pateley bridge. Thinks it’s for charity

Great video guys. The tractors were definitely a charity event that finished in Pateley Bridge. We were there for a night and spoke to a local farmer who told us about it but warned us of the traffic. Last year they raised over £26000. Sadly we couldn’t make the show hopefully next year we’ll make it.

Wow!! £26k raised that’s amazing! The air ambulances really are great charities. It was a really impressive turn out. We were lucky that we didn’t get stuck for long in the traffic 😊

I know he’s so rude!!! Although having my own space has appeal 🤔 The Cathargo was even longer than our current van 🚐 😳 I still love the drawers. Drawers are the future! 😍 I cannot tell you how long Riki spent cleaning the van. Even though the ceramic coating makes it easy to wash off the mud, he loves nothing more than detail cleaning his first love 🚐 🧼 🙄 Xxx

Ah hello neighbour - Well weekend neighbour 😄 My heart sank (along with the van) when I realised Riki’s great value site booking was a grass pitch! But we couldn’t fault the staff. The whole team were friendly and they were very well prepared for the inevitable towing 😅 Do you need some assistance too?

Nope - we booked the last hard standing a while back, for which I’m eternally grateful. Everybody needed towing off the grass - it was very, very wet. They’d pricked the whole lot over, as well, to try to drain it, but, as you say, the site team was well prepared and nothing was too much bother. When we left on Monday it was a bit better, but Jez and Bev still needed towed off… Thank goodness for the pub!!

It’s a Krups Nespresso mini. They take regular Nespresso capsules. When we bought one for our MH a year ago most were not fitted with a UK plug. In the end I took a leap of faith by paying over the odds for a rare UK version from eBay. Fortunately it worked out fine. It was lovely meeting you at the NEC in Feb and thanks for another uplifting blog. X

400 tractors, with a hog roast lunch included. In the route. Out local show, and like all even though you go needing nothing, always buy something.

We wish we’d known about the hog roast! It was a really impressive turnout 🚜 Yes us too. We’d lost the hair trap for the shower and I knew I’d find a replacement one at the show

We landed right in the middle of that Tractor Run must of been roughly the same time as you. , was a bit unnerving having returned the day before from our European trip and being in the Farmers Protest through France and Spain. looked in the Carthago MH its bigger than ours and didn't like the shiny leather it had XX

We thought the same to start with when we became part of the convoy. We thought is good be a protest. But when we spoke to the Marshalls they were really lovely and I think we were lucky not to have been stuck for long at all in the traffic. We always find something we aren’t keen on even in the really expensive motorhomes. (Like our old table!) My next project (after the coffee machine) is seat coverings. I would love to have them properly covered in a nice faux leather (not shiny though!) 😊 xx

Well the truth is - According to the V5 it’s a ‘Motor Caravan’ and taxed as a Light HGV. So I think we have some flexibility to call it whatever we fancy 👍🏻😂 I might call it a little lorry now 🤭

All their hard handing pitches were full. As we said in the video, we wouldn’t go on a grass pitch unless we know the site can tow us out. 😊 In the UK this is standard procedure and the campsite are very well equipped for all the British weather can throw at them 😊 The wardens were lovely ☺️
