Watching Brad fitting that part reminded me when I started my apprenticeship. My boss (a real character) said to me. To be a good fitter you need to be a cross between a snake and an octopus and have eyes on the ends of your fingers. 😂

Not looking too bad up there. We got halfway through picking up canola and haven’t been able to get back at it. The wheat could be a complete loss, but that’s farming!

Nice video Matt had to replace the over run clutch on my pto (walthershield?) few years back not a cheep experience, Brad's new toy is like a cane harvester but for mowing concrete, recon he's got harvest fever especially as it got away from him after reaching 5kph

MATT it’s definitely been wet you guys had 75mm in Moree for November and in Ipswich we had 264mm , if this keeps up we might have to build an ARK. I think you guys have finished by now.

Another great update Matt. Storms are causing some grief. I think Brad will have to watch out if his wife sees this and Brad vacuuming the shed he will have to do the vacuuming at home😂. Probably doesn’t need me the armchair spectator to ask, does your new shaft/clutch need an extra guard over it?

Hey Matt how far is it from the home farm to the lease block and then how far further to the south lease block. Thanks for the video
@thejacksonbrothers19 сағат бұрын
Development block is about 35 kms from main farm, south lease block is about another 25kms from development block. Main lease block is only 10kms or so from the main farm

Hi Matt dose the chic peas or wheel go mouldy when it getvwet
@thejacksonbrothers16 сағат бұрын
If it’s over 13 % moisture and stored without aeration it can go mouldy👍
@jefftheaussie22256 сағат бұрын
Wheat will also get full of weevils if put in the bin too wet. Barley is terrible for that. I don’t know about chick peas.

Has your weather pattern been trending "wetter" or more "stormy" the past several months? I live in western South Dakota, USA we are extremely dry this year and windy, no snow cover yet, was 54 F here yesterday. (DEC 3,2024)

I got into your videos because I have repaired and run Claas combine harvesters for 30 years so it’s interesting to see the differences on machines with similar hrs to our current very used Twin rotor Claas units. My main impression is access to components is tight on the CNH. Even with the extra drum and accelerator the Claas has access looks so much easier. I think the Claas may be a bit longer overall. The Chopper and chaff spreaders is also practically impossible to block on the Claas and I think that’s because there is more space at the back and the straw from the rotors drops down into the chopper rather than the accelerator setup blowing to the back I have learnt about watching your repairs to the wiring loom under the engine. Interesting how you do things over there from a UK point of view, we have much smaller fields but heavier crops double the yield you average per hectare. Thanks for the time you spend on the channel.
