Tank Tune-Up is on it's way - We've been FT for 4 years now and tried lots of tank additives - just happily finished a major test of Liquified (haven't dumped our tank in 8 weeks because of where we are parked) in upper 90's so the bar is set high, but decided to test Tank Tune up and see how it compares - We will be another 6 weeks at our current spot and temps are usually upper 90's -the low 100's those weeks ... I'm looking forward to seeing how Tank Tune-Up compares and holds up next to what we've been happily using for the past year now. Only reason I'm trying it is because I saw the time, research and care you put into your truck camper build project and figured if you put that kind of research and work into this, it's got a good chance of being the best in the market. Best wishes!

Something without chemical fragrance! Can't wait to give it a try!
@GetawayCouple6 ай бұрын
Hope you like it! We agree about the artificial fragrances. Our product does have a natural earthy smell because of the bacteria but it's not strong and you definitely don't smell it after you flush it down 😄

It was definitely interesting to research and formulate lol. We know more about poo and waste water than we ever thought possible 😂

Congratulations on your product. We have a 5 gallon cassette toilet. If one scoop is for 40 gallons, would we just do math and reduce how much we use?
@GetawayCouple6 ай бұрын
It comes with a 1oz scoop for the 40 gallon serving. 6 tsp = 1 oz so you could just do 1 tsp for the cassette. It would be a little over a serving size but that wouldn’t cause any issues since cassettes have less water to dilute the waste so are a bit more concentrated.

I hope you guys have looked into patenting your formula, if not do it ASAP. It's not that difficult to reverse engineer chemical concoctions. If your product takes off, you can bet your much larger competitors will copy your formula. And while it's good that you are open to feedback and tweaking your recipe as needed, each new formula will need it's own patent to insure your product is protected. Lastly, a patent need not be granted for it to be effective in blocking anyone else from using the exact same formula, just applied for and "pending" patent approval. You are both intelligent people, so I'm 90% certain you have already considered all this and taken the steps necessary, just want to make sure it's on your radar. You might be surprised how many times somebody invented something and neglected to patent protect it only to have it "stolen" from them by someone else At least you two are working on a solution for an actual problem not being well addressed by currently available products. I have an ex-roommate who spent thousands of her savings developing a product she thought would fly off shelves and make her rich, pretty sure she did apply for patent for her design. Her product? A lightweight cardboard/heavy paper disposable dustpan, which the user buys in a pack of X amount and which must first be assembled by the user, following the instructions (step 1, step 2, etc, kinda like a simple Origami), to be usable. It's a single use product. I don't remember what the price point was or how many items were in a pack, but it seemed to me to be a product without a market need. I have a plastic dustpan I bought 10 years ago for about $3 that still works just fine to this day. I have no idea how her product is selling, we did not part on good terms, given as how she moved out without notice and stiffed me on her last month's rent, TWICE (I know, hurt me once, shame on you, hurt me twice, shame on me), but even so, I couldn't help but think (in regards to her product)...REALLY?

We’re excited to hear your feedback! Let us know if you have any issues. Regarding the price, we really tried to keep in the middle of the pack of tank treatments. This is the initial run so more expensive to produce and manufacturer. As we progress, we hope to reduce the price through economies of scale.

You do realize your RV tanks are not septic tanks and you shouldn't be breaking down the waste. They are holding tanks. All you need is calgon and pine sol.
@GetawayCouple6 ай бұрын
Pine-sol is an effective disinfectant and will work to kill the “bad” anaerobic smell-causing bacteria in your own tank. However, it has the same issue as the other chemicals that were disallowed. It will then be dumped into campgrounds wastewater facilities or septic tanks and kill the bacteria down the line that are needed to breakdown the waste. So good for you but bad for everyone else. We chose sodium percarbonate as our disinfectant because it breaks down into hydrogen peroxide to kill bacteria. But it doesn’t linger, it then continues to breakdown into water and oxygen. Calgon is mainly sodium citrate which we include in our product so we agree there.

Now... who caused that initial problem? 🤔 Jason or Rae? 💩🤢🤮😂
