Sounds like me I gave up the dirt bike riding when I was 38. I can't take it easy on a bike it's all or nothing for me. Once you just about lose everything cause you can't work due to injury you have to make that hard decision. I miss riding thou.

@@horsefly1020 I’m 42 now and definitely have been where you were. I’ve had numerous injuries that took several months just to barely walk again. I’ve been out of work because of them without any income coming in not even short term disability and without personal savings and even had to claim bankruptcy because of the medical bills. Those injuries were in my 20s and I had to settle down which as you mentioned isn’t fun on dirt bikes (no point in riding if you’re not getting any air time). I still have them for nostalgia/sentimental reasons so they’re just garage ornaments anymore. I was also into crouch rockets and had to move onto Harley’s where now all I have to worry about is other morons😂

Hey yall I’m getting rid of my 2004 AJ Wagner built 450r has a fully built an big bore 500cc motor trying to add a electric starter and two fuel injectors need to tune it an I’ll let it go for $15k people don’t need to go balls to the wall that’s why ppl dnt ride hell they have a 40 plus class I’m 35 ride still I’ll never stop riding an enjoying the old braaap onto my next adventure after this bike street bikes bmw s1000 m package is what I’m after is my reasoning for selling I have other bikes I ride with my gf and son

@@bnrgtr32radgtr42 I know they have 40+ classes, but even that’s for guys that can handle it at 40+. Before lap 2 I’d be sitting on the seat the rest of the race.😂 Standing on the pegs the knees are suspension for the upper body and I can’t do that anymore, my left knee would definitely blow out again, even taking it “easy”. I ride street bikes now and I’d still be riding off road (not tracks) if I had a bike or quad more suitable for not going balls out, the family also doesn’t have any machines because they’re not interested in it. I am frame off restoring a K5 Blazer with a fresh built turbo LS that will be set up for some duning, and I’m sure when I take that to the dunes my 250s will come with and mess around on them too, but racing on any level is out of the question for me even if there was a 60+ I’d be getting lapped😂

Love the two strokes' I ordered a widow maker in 1969..A red 1970 Kawasaki Mach III 500 cc 3 cylinder two stroke .In 1969 -72 ,these motorcycles would out accelerate 95 percent of street cars to 110 mph .including the mighty 426 Hemi,440 6 pack,L88 corvette,396 375 hp camaro,427/428/429 Fords etc 102 octane Sunoco 260 was 41 cents a gallon. The bike cost me $1104.00 with tax and lic They handled poorly and were impossible to stop, but they were fast, lifting the front wheel in the first three gears at 6000 rpm .A engineering marvel for its time.

We drag race the old triples, we had a 500 and then we had a 750 Denco Cobra 149 motor with a lot more work than just that. Lots of fun

A guy in my high school in 1972-73 rode one of these. He weighed closed to 300lbs and he and his buddy who also was close to 300lbs would take off on the bike every lunch hour. The sight of those two fat dudes on the bike was hilarious. Until the passengers foot got caught in the rear spokes when the rider popped a wheelie. Almost cut the guys foot off. And if you thought the 500 was scary the 750 was way worse. Still handled and braked terribly and now the engine made more power than the chassis could really handle. Power that started at nothing and then came on suddenly sending the front wheel skyward.

I like the little dirt bike thing there thank God they were two strokes and not four strokes I've been riding dirt bikes my whole life end my race car but I had that I started that when I was 16 and kind of got addicted to heroin and messed my life up for a while but now I'm back into it I'm 50 years old now but better late than never and all I do is go to work work on my 67 mustang leaf spring small tire car I don't know why I told you about that but I wish I wouldn't have now but anyway I love the dirt bike little sequence that was great

Buy a miller, or a Lincoln, it says what settings to use according to metal thickness, use gas, don't cheap out on Flux core, keep welding on the metal, don't weld on the puddle of weld, so burn your two pieces together and go back and fill in the weld, with your back n forth and criss cross pattern, practice makes perfection
